Remember that old computer game where each player had a cannon on one side of the screen, and you had to lob cannon balls until you destroyed the opponents cannon?

I wonder how bad those golf balls would hurt from across a field. Make that shit happen in real life!

So hockey pads would be a good idea.

As long as no one dies, it's all fun and games.

Golf ranges are a waste of a good shooting range.

But it's awful difficult to safely setup a long range shooting range in a residential area. You can easily build a golf course in a neighborhood.

At what distance though?

I'm thinking as long as everyone is shooting from at least 100 yards apart, it could be fun. Painful, and scary, but fun. Definitely would not attempt it at close ranges, maybe even make 200 yards the closest a target could be.

Oh yeah, I definitely am not thinking of using it like a paintball gun, more a fun long distance ball lobbing game. I believe they're advertised to launch up to 500 yards, but you know they won't have a ton of velocity coming down at that distance. Leave a welt for sure, but I think it could be halfway safe.

Hopefully my weather delay (dish is out with storms in the area) is over before it is at Bristol.  It was raining like a cow pissing on flat rock just a little bit ago but it has slowed down.  Oh, now we have a tornado warning again...

F 1 has what like 12 guys in the pits ? and they dont even need a gas man. I love F1 stops, you blink and you miss it. VET's team ripped off a 1.8 stop  one time.

I grew up and still in live in Tornado Alley. Been a long time since the bad one which happened before I was born. Although lately it seems to have shifted to the DFW area than here on the South Planes.

Yeah they are all pretty much the same. Blink and they are gone. I think the pit crews in NASCAR add to the strategy of the racing. Plus in F1 and others of that style the crew is already on their knees waiting for the car to pull in where as in NASCAR they cannot leave the pit wall until the driver is just pulling in. Although Formula E is really the only different one. Driver gets out of one car and gets in the second car and has to be at least sixty seconds or they get a penalty.

Not as bad as it used to be. Crowds of less than 75k don't need to spread out in a 150 mile radius.

20 years ago, everything within 150 miles of Bristol would have been booked and the Tri-Cities were unbearable.

I worked at a grocery store one year during race week. It was miserable.
