Great, now we all have to stop doing dinner pics, thanks a lot.

Kills any thought I ever had about doing a dinner pick.
When are you guys gonna be on 'Top Chef', you'd slay those losers. 10/10, only cause 100% is the best there is. ETA: This thread is so overwhelmingly awesome you didn't even get the traditional ARFCOM 'low post count' response. |

My heart skipped a beat
You raised the bar above us mere mortals. How can anyone even attempt a dinner pic now. |

Hey if you want to tack it as a "how to" or as inspiration for those who wanna top it you have my vote ;-) Besides we have to look at it time to time so figure out a way to top ourselves! I think the next one might have to include AAA or a canon. Anyone got a canon? |

Wow, geez. A whole lot of impressive you did there, but, sorry, it's over the top.
I'm calling it... ghey. |

At first I thought, "portion size is too small and kinda fru-fru..." but then I realized that the first pic was just one of several courses of pure, unadulterated win.
Belt-fed win to boot. Well played, sir. - AG |

This needs to be tacked. The bar has been set.
...and this is a thread I can EASILY masterbate to. |

That is the most epic dinner pic post I have ever seen. I can't even begin to comprehend the unbelievable awesomeness that is your meal, sir. I am forever ruined, not only for other dinner pic threads (Including the ones I plan on posting some day), but probably for meals in general for the rest of my life. Its not even worth my trying to make food anymore (and I was trained by 5 star chefs) because I will simply be disgusted by my own shortcomings due to the faintest recollection of that thread. And while I'm very proud of my firearm collection, your collaborative effort puts many others to shame. This gets a "1-Barack-O-Billion percent win" rating. ETA- also, nice touch on cooking the steak directly on the coals of lump charcoal. My absolute favorite. |

Now you've done it.
You're in the Top Tier with Aiden, Jake the Pimp and Blue Falcon. I'll give you a 200 out of 10. HH |

The weekend was perfect out here on the east coast and after a Saturday full of shooting an Easter Sunday dinner pic was decided. A few of us got together and decided to make an epic dinner pic. First we decided this was going to be too big with too much firepower to be included in just one frame so a course menu was decided on; Appetizer, Amuse-bouche, Salad, Main course, Dessert and the right drink s for all of them. Larue Dillo’s grace all the food pics, find em all and win a self administered hand job Here we go.... Appetizer was jumbo shrimp stuffed with jack cheese and jalapeno, wrapped in bacon and dusted with chili powder and lime. Served with a grilled jalapeno, garlic butter and a Bell’s Sparkling Ale Firepower included: Arsenal AK Krink with original Bulgarian cone brake, 11.5in BCM hammer forged barreled AR and a 9mm shorty. Knife is an original 2001 Seal knife by Strider with the Strider Envelope made of Canvas. Also pictured is the Magpul Iphone cover in FDE. prep: http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm215/sniperm88/Dinner%20Pic/IMG_0258.jpg plated http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm215/sniperm88/Dinner%20Pic/ShrimpAppetizer.jpg The Amuse-bouche (albeit a very large portion) was heirloom tomato cut thick (about 1/2in) sprinkled with cherry wood smoked sea salt, a thick slice of fresh mozzarella topped with a balsamic reduction and basil. Firepower included: A pair of Kimber Warrior’s with Wilson combat mags, an HK 91 with proper Hensoldt optic and the Extrema Ratio RAO heavy duty folder. plated: http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm215/sniperm88/Dinner%20Pic/AmuseBouche.jpg The salad was a grilled Caesar salad. Started off making a fresh Caesar dressing, anchovies and all, then kicked it up a notch with a shot of habanero hot sauce. Then grilled a heart of romaine and plated it up with homemade croutons and one half of the Bell’s Sparkling Ale ;-) Firepower included: CMP Garand in 30-06, a cherry MG34 and a Browning 1919. Knife pictured is a Benchmade Nimravus made of D2 steel prep: http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm215/sniperm88/Dinner%20Pic/IMG_0255.jpg plated http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm215/sniperm88/Dinner%20Pic/Salad.jpg The Main course was a variety of meats. First up on the left is a hanger steak marinated most of the day in olive oil, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, garlic, shallots and a little rum. To grill this we used chunk charcoal and cooked directly on the coals. Got them glowing white hot, borrowed a blowdryer and blew the ash off. Dropped the steak on the coals for 2 minutes per side and then let rest for 15 minutes. Hanger steak is served with roasted redskin potatoes, roasted red peppers and onions. Next up is the Lamb chops, browned in cast iron then cooked till 130 degrees in the center for a perfect medium rare. Lamb was served with prosciutto wrapped asparagus sprinkled in sea salt and fresh ground black pepper then cooked at 400 degrees till the prosciutto was crispy. Finally on the right is a bison filet wrapped in bacon and seared on both sides in a 600 degree cast iron. The bison rests on a bed of saffron risotto. The main course was served with a 2005 White Cottage cabernet sauvignon from Napa Valley. Firepower included: Magpul Chinadoll with a Noveske upper and a Micro T-1 in a Larue mount, Rock River SPR with a Nightforce 5.5-22x50 in a Larue mount and a Larue Stealth AR in UDE with a Nightforce 2.5-10x24 and a Aimpoint Micro T-1 for CQB zombie attacks. Knife is the Benchmade Marc Lee Glory knife. Body armor is Crye Precision C.A.G.E and Surefire LX2 Lumamax prep: http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm215/sniperm88/Dinner%20Pic/IMG_0254.jpg plated: http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm215/sniperm88/Dinner%20Pic/MainDish.jpg The happy ending to this sexy meal was homemade Bacon ice cream. We began by making a vanilla bean maple ice cream base. Then we melted some 60% cocoa dark chocolate and coated some crispy fried bacon. While the bacon was hardening up in the fridge and the ice cream was hardening up in the freezer (Full Disclosure: we ran out of time for the ice cream to fully solidify, but when I had some last night it was tasty) we made a chocolate bourbon ganache sauce. This was served with a glass of Black Maple Hill 24 year old single barrel bourbon. No ice and only 1ml of distilled water per finger of bourbon to make it bloom. Firepower included: FDE SCAR wearing a Micro T-1 on a Larue mount and a HK MP5 with SWR suppressor wearing a Micro T-1 in the lowest mount made for an HK, the Brugger and Thomet micro mount, which co-witnesses HK sights. Knifes included are the Benchmade Infidel, the Microtech Ultratech SE and the Strider. Patches from assorted places but most are milspec monkey. prep: http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm215/sniperm88/Dinner%20Pic/IMG_0279.jpg http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm215/sniperm88/Dinner%20Pic/IMG_0250.jpg http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm215/sniperm88/Dinner%20Pic/IMG_0251.jpg http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm215/sniperm88/Dinner%20Pic/IMG_0252.jpg http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm215/sniperm88/Dinner%20Pic/IMG_0253.jpg plated: http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm215/sniperm88/Dinner%20Pic/BaconIceCream.jpg Cooking, Photography, Firearms, Knives, Body Armor and Patches provided by HSprecision SniperM88 50UNIT WasatchAR Ok, since I am the first person to mention this, I'll assume that we were all crazy eyed from the wonderful food prep, drinks and guns. However, You do not have a "DILLO" in every food pic as mentioned above by you and highlighted by me. That is simply not tolerated. If your gonna say something back it up and don't photo shop one in now that your caught. Also, mentioned already but you used a folded paper towel as a napkin. So I give you 8 out of 10. Edit to ADD: Since the contest was for a self-administered "hand job" can you give one now? LOL Just kidding, in all actuality you did good. |

100% total win
There are no words. Damn that is awesome. ETA - Honestly, I'd be fine if this thread were tacked and for ever more, dinner pic threads were banned and were lockable offenses....this thread is the standard, period Of course, the next time I have the opportunity I'm going to try to figure out a way to top it....but without belt fed class III weapons its gonna be next to impossible without a supermodel in it.
