I used to always volunteer for range detail. Loading the mags etc... We weren't suposed to turn in opened cases of ammo.

Range Sgt: "Currahee, why did you open all these cases of ammo without emtying them?"

Young Currahee: "uhhmmm Sgt, I'm sorry"

Range Sgt: "Damn it, get your weapon"

Fun times, the range detail was shooting for hours

about 500, give or take. Most painful experience was putting 300 rounds of 7.62x54R steel core thru my 1891/59 with no recoil pad, and just a t-shirt. My back got all fucked up. Hell, its was fun tho :D

The responses will be similar to the "How big is your pecker?" question.  Most will lie and round up.
