He's dead, who cares? |
Does he have a holodeck? Is it functional? If he does, then who needs real chicks then, right?
I've actually used both...Call me either...just don't call me a "STAR WARS" fan |
Same. Your hobby should not rule your life like that. |
Things like this is where I'm all about free expression. |
Free expression means he can act like a tool AND I get to call him a tool. Turning your flat into a star trek scene is definitely toolish behavior. |

True enuf. |

Sad truth! |
About 2.5x the number of ST:TOS episodes. (IOW, I'm a ST geek and a gun geek... ) |
Oh. Well, there's always room for sequels. Or variations on theme... like... Star Trek Midget Porn!!! |

brokeback planetoid? |

THIS IS A MILLION DOLLAR IDEA!!!!
(too bad most trekkies live with their moms and mom won't let them remodel........) |
Thats about as practical as bringing an Airsoft to a gunfight. It looks good but doesn't do s--t.

what a maroon!
He should have made it look like the deck on BSG |
BINGO. |

So this guy had a wife, but most of the normal 30-40 year-old guys I know who have jobs aren't married but want to be. Strange. I don't understand the bad decisions women now make.z
I knew I wouldn't be the only one... |

YOU KNOW I HAVE TO GIVE THIS GUY CREDIT.
he believed he found a niche market and he went for it. if nothing else that took balls to go that far in debt for a dream. |
Not enough to drive me into bankruptcy. (Although that new Barrett toy mighr just lead me that way. A 400 grain projectile doing mach 3...) |

For all the dorkiness, we should realize three things:
1) It DOES look really good 2) It takes courage to take that kind of risk (or insanity, I suppose....) 3) A Trekkers (Trekkies?) situation is not quite comprable to ours: while our hobby already involves something that is tangible and real (i.e., guns that we can actually buy/shoot/fondle), Star Trek fans are limited by imagination - their hobby ISN'T tangible, it is a concept, a show that can be watched, but not much more. What this guy did was simply to change that, to make his hobby "real" so to speak. To put it into perspective, what would we do if guns were completely banned? Look at Japan (and the American youth): if they can't have real guns, they settle with fake Airsoft guns, as a way to bring a once-impossibly distant interest into the realm of tactile "reality". (Sorry if that made no sense... ) ETA: But I must say...why would you do the "Voyager"? Enterprise D is the obvious choice... |

Good point. I'm sure that there are plenty of hot science fiction chicks. Imagine when he goes to the Star Trek conventions. I bet HE IS THE MAN at the convention. |
+1 I totally agree. Fantasy decorating is a pretty brilliant idea. Just imagine doing a room in your basement as a WWII submarine or something like that. I bet rich, "reality-detatched" people would eat that up. I give him credit for having a vision and going with it. |
WTF? Most of the normal 30-40yo guys I know are married and dont want to be. |

The "grass is greener on the other side" syndrome. |

There are some fucked up Star Trek ones on that site. I spent an hour one day laughing about it. I'm a messed up geek. ETA: Like this one. Don't click this link unless you want to see something very disturbing. It's not decent, but I could not resist. |

DoubleFeed, that's a wise comment and exactly what I've seen.z |

So the remodel only cost 12k, but then he blew another 100k on marketing and merchandise? What? Retard.
He should be sterilized.
Not because he may have children with a willing woman, but just in case he decides to try it with one who isn't. |
He had a run of bad luck so he was unable to carry on as a DJ....He had no qualifications so what could he do....
What a tard! |
I wonder if he remembered to fit an internet connection?
He did do a good job, there's no doubt. Though I'm not convinced by the business plan. NTM |
Yeah those 40 year old star trek nerds would pay for one room to be done.
I'm sure there mothers wouldn't let them do the rest of the house ! |
Good work. Guts to follow a dream. Baaaaaad business plan. .667 doesn't cut it. |

I didn't think it was possible for a man to regain his virginity, but I guess he did.
