On a MBP 13in right now, and you couldn't pay me to use a Windows based laptop again. I've gone through 3 Dell and ASUS laptops in 5 years. MBP is the only one so far I haven't had constant problems with. I hate Steve Jobs, and the fanboy mark up, but I'm willing to pay the premium to get something that fucking works well 95% of the time.

Remove bottom cover, remove old modules, insert new modules, replace bottom cover. 10 minutes on a bad day, but don't lose the screws. |

I'm typing this from my Macbook Pro right now. Mine crashed almost a year after I got it, apparently a hardware issue with the HDD. They replaced it free of cost. Even with my computer bricking on me, I'd buy again. IMHO, much much better for everything I do than Windows, and not prone to viruses. |

My father worked for IBM for 43 years; we had an original IBM PC shortly after they were announced in August of 1981. I have never had anything other than a genuine IBM-made PC until I bought my MacBook Pro. Sorry, Lenovo = fail. They kept the Thinkpad brand name and turned the hardware to crap. |

My previous macbook, which is still up and kicking, takes a long time to get pretty warm and even then isn't noticeably hot when sitting on my lap. I had a fan go bad on my MBP.
Took it into the store and they replaced it while I waited, free of charge. Of course, I also have the screen-flicker issue, so that will be next on the "fix" docket. No fears, though. AppleCare is there.

got a 3 year old MBP 15 running OSX 10.6 and bootcamping Win 7 64bit for my school software that isn't mac compatible....I do notice that when running it on the Win 7 partition the battery life is quite a bit less than the Mac side.....not really sure why that is
eta. I upgraded the memory from 2gb to 4gb and the hard drive from 120gb to 320gb...it upgrades just like anything else, pretty simple.... |

I have owned 2 macs and will continue buying them for the rest of my life. Hey mac guys, what would you rather run, Bootcamp, Parallels or VMware. I need to put windows on my mac for school stuff (windows specific programs like Analyst Notebook 8, CADE, ACL, etc) ETA: I read your post wrong.
