Watching that makes me want to toss a sting ball ( rubber buckshot ) or flash bang thru the window at the staff.
Accident/s waiting to happen. |

That many people in a live shoothouse?
What a royal goatfuck that was. I'm amazed no one was hurt. And LOL at the jagoff in the back of the pickup truck with the injured dummy pounding on the box and screaming "let's get the fuck out of here!!!" Airsoft is cheaper and less likely to get you killed. |

At what point will we finally acknowledge that classes like this are cosplay for gun nerds?
|
|
"James Yeager is the most competent and operational instructor of any of the 16 videos and 1 classes I have attended. His knowledge of firearms, ditches, and generally manual transmissions far exceeds what I could have learned on my own. The guys that got shot in class weren't running fast enough and had way too much drag to be able to perform the drills appropriately so it only makes sense they took a round."

It isn't training, it's call of duty reenactment with real guns.
The ditch bitch has some entertaining YouTube videos where he cracks himself up over his own stupid jokes and begs for companies to send him free shit to review. Somehow a year on Bumfucknowhere, Tennessee PD and the biggest clusterfuck contract gig in history turned him into a gunfighting expert, despite the fact that we have video evidence and an AAR proving that he sucks at gunfighting $1,200 for a weekend full of shoothouses with stacks of 35 randoms in balaclavas? I took a fighting handgun course back in 2012...before I knew what I know now. Actually, the class was "pretty" good. Jay Gibson did a nice job. No costumes, dress up, or assplay of any kind. Yeager was not there.

Some glowing reviews from one of our very own!
NCPatrolAR [Member] 2/10/2006 11:26:06 AM EDT I've done multiple classes with Tactical Response (in Carthage and other places). Each of the trainers are top notch and know their stuff. They also keep the classes entertaining and don't have any ego. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask me or M4-grunt (he has a "bit" of expereince with Tactical Response also). I've done the Fighting Pistol, Fighting Rifle, Fighting Shotgun courses along with attending their Alumni shoot last year. Also unless something comes up; I'll be in Carthage again in April View Quote NCPatrolAR [Member] 2/10/2006 4:54:51 PM EDT Personaly, I think the Tactical response classes are head and shoulders above the Howe class. To me, the Howe class was more of an entry level carbine operator class and focused more on marksmanship than anything else. With Tactical response you make the shift from doing pure marksman work to learning how to actually fight with the rifle. Transitions (in the rifle class), shooting on the move, verbalization, mental training (often overlooked by other trainers), are things that you will get a lot of exposure to in any of the Tactical Response classes. Also, they run hot ranges (Howe's cold range got on y nerves). View Quote NCPatrolAR [Member] 4/13/2006 2:28:55 PM EDT Rifle class AAR Let me start by thanking Steve and Paul for organizing the classes (though I'll focus on the rifle class in this post) and for Aaron making the trip down to tolerate us and try to pass on some useful information. The rifle class ran very smoothly with us spending a fair amount of time shooting DEA dots doing drills such as the infamous MS meltdown and reconfirming the principle of bore-sight relationship. Alternate shooting postions, the use of cover, and shooting on the move were covered on the first day. Of course gear tweaking was covered on day 1 and continued well into day 2. When I got to the range on day 2 everyone was already well into training on how to conduct peels. At this point I noticed a number of people had shed their chest rigs and had gone to simple subloads. We continued with more shooting on the move and ultimately concluded the day with a large 14 man peel (which Steve seemed to get into more than anyone else even though he wasn't shooting ). It was a great conclusion to a great class and a even better 4 days of training. On the gear specific side of the house, basically every variant of AR was in use on the range minus a full size rifle. The typical sights being used were the EoTech with a few AImpoints thrown into the mix. One shooter had one of the larger ACOGs mounted and I made the decision to run a Trjicon Accupoint (1.25-4X variable) on my rifle for the class. The idea of using a variable scope had became more and more interesting to me as I continued to read up on optics like the Accupoint and the S&B Short Dot. After running one for a solid two days, I can fully see the benefits to having the scope mounted. I ran the entire course with the scope set on its lower power and didnt have a single issue with it. I even ran a few drills when the front lens cap closed to simulate an occulded weapon sight (think the old OEG sights). While I doubt I would place something like the Accupoint on all my rifles, it has certainly earned the right to rest on one of my primary rifles. WHen it comes to pistols, Glocks seem to rule the day with 2 1911s being used along with a Sig or two. I dont persoanlly recall anyone's pistol going down during the class. I used my standard Glock 19 with Surefire X200 in a Bladetech OWB holster. 2 spare mags rounded out my pistol gear and rode in an Fobus dual mag pouch. In the nylon department, again all kinds of gear was seen. It became readily apparent that some people had bought gear and was trying it out for the first time in this course (which is better than trying out for real). As I stated earlier a few people ditched their chest rigs for subloads and most of these guys said they much prefered the subload. Typically I run a Hellcat in classes like this, but I made the decision to drop the tactical ted getup and run a more "civlian"/"grab and go" setup. For this I used a "patrol bandolier" built by Eagle Industries. The bandolier holds 4 AR mags in 2 pockets and has 1 smaller pocket on each side of the 2 mag pouches for items like SUrefire lights, mini ALS smokes, or spare pistol mags. In the smaller pouches I ran spare pistol mags since this would closely mirror how I have the bandolier setup at home. Overall the pouch ran great with the exception of trying to stuff mags back into during various drills requiring tac reloads. The large front portion of velcro (soft side) continued to roll back into the pouch and hampered the rapid inserting of mags back into the pouch. This is something I'm continuing to try to address. In closing the class was great, as I expected. This was my second rifle class from Tactical Response and I was happy to see new material being presented. It was great to see some familiar faces and meet new people that obviously have similar interests and a healthy desire to learn. The only think I would chnage if I weas able would have been my level of interaction with everyone. During all four days of the classes I was having to driving 2 hours to the range (following a full duty day the night before), shoot all day, drive two hours back home, sleep for about an hour, go back to work, and repeat the process the following day. Needless to say, I was quite tired by the end of Sunday (or should I say Monday morning when I got off work and was finally able to get some sleep). I look forward to training with everyone again. I'll admit, I know nothing about room clearing, but that seems like way too many people to be doing that with. And it seemed like they were moving too fast. The only way I would participate in room clearing at that pace would be if I were in the seal teams and did it with the same guys over and over again.
