FYI:
The Israelis sold US weapons technology to China, not NK. The USS Liberty wasn't sunk.

Israel is neither America's friend nor our enemy. They're another sovereign nation with some interests aligned with ours and some in opposition to ours. Dollars received is no measure of friendship. Egypt is second behind Israel in the amount of US foreign aid they receive, and Egypt can hardly be called a friend of the US.

The world is just a more complicated place than is imagined in your philosophy. Sorry dude, back to Xbox360 for you.

Didnt the Israelis know about the barracks bombings back in the early 1980s and not tell us because "they didnt want the US depending on them".

Im not exactley sure of that, i read it in a book about Operation Wrath of God, or something like that.

people who say Israel kicks alot of terrorist ass have to understand, that by some standards they are playing in a weak league.

Other than some of the technology from the aborted Lavi fighter program what technology has Israel sold to China that the US didn't sign off on at the time?

The Harpy Drones were sold with full approval of the US government. It is the spare parts and some upgrades the US government has complained about over the last couple years.

One thing I always find interesting about these threads is I never see the same sort of bullshit whining about Egypt and Pakistan, both countries which also receive billions in aid. Last time I checked it was the Pakistan government that funded the rise of the Taliban.

I'm sure they would love to but we can't afford for them to whipe out the palis which is what they would have to do without our influence. That would not play well with our other allies in the region. BTW, Israel was not our ally durring the time of the Liberty accident ( I say accident even with your use of the word deliberate because it is quite possible to deliberately shoot something, even though it has been mis Identified ). BTW, where are we buying ammo from? Also, who has served as a real time testbed for our advanced weapons systems while we were at " peace ". Who took scud missile attacks on civillian population centers and did not respond because we asked them not to? Only a true friend takes a hit like that for a friend without responding in kind simply because the friend asked them not to.
