Hardly.
Good movie but glaring mistakes, especially the appalling weapons handling, keep it from being great. Now Die Hard was a great movie. |

NO. Notice not 1 of the good guys even bother to aim using sights but rather elect to shoot from the hip. What are we teaching our youth. Think about the children...!!! This. /Thread. |

Are you kidding OP? Predator ranks third on just John McTiernan's list of films, much less all films by everyone ever. Both Red October and Die Hard are better.
Now be a good boy and GET TO DA CHOPPA! |

Mac: You're ghosting us motherfucker. I don't care who you are back in the world. You give away our position one more time I'll bleed you, real quiet, an' leave you here. Got that?
Blain: Bunch of slack-jawed faggots around here. This stuff'll make you a goddamn sexual Tyrannosaurus, just like me. Great flick. |

No Commando was much better. My first instinct. Much more comic relief. |

No not even close. Good entertainment? You bet. Best movie ever or you're gay? Sounds like someone is looking for an internet date to me.

I heard an interview last week with Jesse Ventura and he said that that was the movie he was most proud of because he gets SEALS telling him how much they like the movie because the tactics in it are very similar to how things are really done. He also said that he had to fight the directors all the way to keep as much hollywood crap out as possible. I do not agree with all of his views but he is a good interview. |

Like a bloke lugging a mini-gun through the jungle? Very tactical |

Predator
Aliens Terminator series Robocop The Thing Predator 2 Robocop 2 These are the best sci-fi movies so far. |
|
It is neither the best movie of its type, nor the best movie of its type in its period, nor even the best movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. So it is far, far from being the best movie ever.

Mary Poppins. He's right. Predator was a very good movie. But to just stick to Sci-Fi films, these movies were better: The Day the Earth Stood Still (Orginal) Aliens 2001: A Space Odyssey Give me time and I'll pick out a couple more. |

John Carpenter's version of "The thing" beats "Predator" AFAIC.
Hell, the '51 original beats it too! |
