Yeah...too bad for US auto makers that those "rice burners" are in most cases, much nicer cars. I buy the best product. It's called capitalism...something that the US auto makers (sans Ford) know nothing about. Grats on the car though...I wish they'd have progressed the 4th gen style instead of going "retro"...but I pretty much don't like any of these new "retro" cars. |

at least I bought american not some piece of crap rice burner. Im helping out the people in detroit. My "rice burner" was made in Texas by people who don't extort more compensation for their work, than its actual market value. Just think about how much more you had to pay for your car because it was made by a UAW company, think about that and then smile. I'd like to be happy for you, but all you have done is reinforced Obamas policy to take my money, as well as yours, and give it to a company that couldn't survive in a free market. How does it feel to pay for that car twice? I was already forced to pay for it once, I sure as hell won't voluntarily pay for it again. Not a bad looking car though, I hope it's good to you, just too bad it comes with all the socialist baggage. |

Better hope there still around when you need to take it in for warranty work Nice car, I bought a Z06 Vette Sept 2008 and would not have had Government Motors been in the picture. The good news is we can soon go to the post office send mail, get our oil changed, make a deposit and get a proctological exam all in one place compliments of the tax-payer and government. |

Very nice. My GF ordered a 2SS for herself Thanksgiving weekend. Should be here mid january. How are you liking it so far? Can you believe how many of these damn things are automatics? That's the main reason she didn't drive one off the lot was she couldn't find the 2SS in a manual hardly at all. Everything is autos. WTF are people thinking?! The automatic still has manual with tap shift on the steering wheel like a race car. These also have a launch function. You double tap the button, hold the break down, rev it up to 3,500rpm, then let go of the break and it'll burn out. Saying the paddle shift is "like" a manual is kinda like saying a column shift car is like a manual you just move the selector. I drove a rental in TX with the auto. Didn't care for it. It still shifted on its own if you left it go and probably before I would have shifted if I was racing. It didn't so much like down shifting either. But to each his own. BTW, if it burns out when you launch you did it wrong and you probably lost the race. For the money I think they're probably one of the best value cars out there. The V6's have about as much power as the GT mustangs and are cheaper. The body lines are personal preference. I thought the interior was comparable to a 3 series BMW. The price tag on the the V6 models is very competitive at $23k. The SS models are very powerful for very cheap (compared to something with similar power). |

I have an `07 vette (~3300 pounds, 400/400, 6spd) that I bought used with 8K on the odo (About the same as the `10 Camaro SS, a 50% off sale! ) and I love that car! Say what you will, but I purchased pre-bailout and you have to give GM some credit - they were making some NICE rides here recently. I was so sad to see them flounder - because both Ford and GM have loooong histories in this country and the current mess isn't doing either of them any favors. Definitely tragic - but it is what it is. I still love my Corvette. They have come a looong way - my dad bought an `84 Vette when they came out: a whopping 205 HP! It still moved pretty good though. |

If the camaro's are anything like the 5 speed manual 09 Ford GT I bought, a couple of relatively cheap mods that void the warranty open up the performance a bit. In my opinion, the downside of the bigger displacement V8 camaro is that real world gas mileage if you drive like I do is likely to wind up around 16-17 mpg, Motortrend reported 14 mpg in their test, 17 mpg for a 10 GT. I get 20 mpg hammering the gas everywhere I go, but I also have the 3.31 rearend instead of 3.55 or 3.73 gears. Of course I hoping to come across a V6 camaro so I can demonstrate that the performance isn't quite the same as the V8. Thanks to the 600 pound lighter weight of the Mustang, I should only be a 1 or 2 tengths of a second slower than the SS. I like the exterior and color of your Camaro, but couldn't get past the interior, specifically the gauges at the bottom of the center column.
Still, enjoy your new ride. |
