I have kind of observed this. As a matter of fact there have been a few instances, in this very town, of shootings and murder at hospitals from an ex out to get a nurse. They even changed badges to less info after one of the incidents.

As I think about it though it's probably just a reflection of the general population. Nurses can have a nice income (and shitty hours), both of which appeal to lowlifes.

I think the nurse to dumb ass ratio might be slightly higher than other professionals.
Part of it might be the fact that when you get that many of one gender together you're going to get some drama llamas.

I have a friend that works in the auto industry.  Seems like guys that build cars gravitate towards sluty, cheating alcoholics.

My friend's wife isn't a sluty, cheating alcoholic, either. But, he's always hearing it at work.
The point is that when you put a lot of one gender together you see more drama come out.

So you're going to make generalizations about all nurses based on your recent sample size of 2 drama llamas?

Yes.  This is not a scientific study and will not be subject to submission to any scholarly or peer reviewed journal.

And let's face it, if you take away generalizations and you can close down the General Discussion Forum because there would be little to talk about.

All I know is I like my nurses naughty.

Actual RN degrees are not required.

I am also partial to French maids, but they do not have to be French or have any domestic skills whatsoever.

Further, my kind of librarians are not required to know how the Dewey Decimal system works.

Almost 23 years married to one. Looks like OP got bit by the Green Monster (after getting dumped by an RN) and is jealous of our score with the FEP factor. (Future Earnings Potential) The wife just finished up CRNA school and is bringing down $150K+ per year

Honestly though, as one posted mentioned, it is a good cross section of personalitys in the business. My wife speaks very highly of one of her former co-workers and how "sweet" she is.  One of my employees met her online and datet her a while and from his storys she sounds more like a porn star doing and asking for some of the kinkiest of shit you could imagine, on the first date!  (Well, this is AR15.com, so maybe not!)
And I have seen some of her coworkers over the years be very comfortable as a floor nurse and have no ambition to climb higher up the food chain, and then there are those like my wife that have achieved the highest degree of nursing they can.

Now if I could just get the wife to be like her former coworker in the bedroom, I'd have the best of both worlds!

I just realized, my neighbor who permits her 35+ year old son with her is a nurse! I am told her exhusband was a loser that kind of lived with her and fucked prostitutes.
I still think that income has something to do with it. Losers need income and nursing can be a very rewarding carrer for women.

I'll bet there are a lot of crazy teachers too. Again, teaching is mainly a female occupation. There are probably a number of CEO's and exectives that are crazy but we don't know as many of them because of the statistics.

It has less to do with occupation and more to do with having a job. A nurse will always have a job.

I'm married to a nurse.  Having visited her at work over the years, I don't see where she has time to cheat or do repulsive things with the pimply faced boys fresh out of school, snort crushed vicodin off the sink in the bathroom, or any of the other things that are implied on TV.  Every job has its losers, but I would avoid generalizing.
