hell I floated the Idea we take Cuba. Excellent distance from the US, we could make it a freedom loving tourist destination of the world, we would have excellent weather, the best cigars, and hot fucking women.

Without powerpoint, PT belts, SHARP briefings, ass hole E-8/E-9 types running around to make sure we aren't wearing scarves/rolled up sleeves/unbloused trousers/etc., stupid blanket requirements to make sure we are rolling in top heavy 30 ton vehicles on unstable mountain roads, others in uniform waiting to throw us in jail if we don't strictly adhere to bullshit ROE/EOF standards like shooting at enemy that are within 600 meters of a habitation.... Arfcom could be considerably more effective.

With all the tier one weapons grade operators we have here, we would be the baddest Army in the free world, right up till we starved to death.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone claim to be a 76 series Mos. So no supplies, we won't last long as I'm able to consume anything left in the fridge overnight by myself, something tells me the wife won't want to go on an extended campaign, and as a victem of first gen MREs I'm still tramuatized by anything packed in plastic bags. |

Does anyone else find it strange that arfcom is always the first to rip on itself?...as in we are all fat, immobile and incompetent with firearms. I get that it's tongue in cheek but really I would bet on your average arfcommer way over your AVERAGE LEO/.mil at least as far as ability with a firearm. I'd even go farther and say they have a much better grasp on small unit tactics. Just an observation from all of my real life dealings with active/reserve and LEO people I know.

Anything else, not really. Actual armies have things like a CoC, training, and paychecks. Take any of the 3 away and you have an unorganized mob, capable of nothing.
