I don't think people realize the markup on retail clothing. The $220 pair of jeans cost the retailer around $20. So op got a $20 pair of jeans for $6 because they are used. In clothing the retailers are making money at 75+% off planned when the sale price was already pre-computed by a planner 9 months ago. The discounts are set to a schedule to maximize profit to get full retail suckers and the suckers who think they are stealing a deal to buy their stuff.

$220 jeans, well I hope your boyfriend thinks they looks good on you.

I prefer to wear 7s because they fit extremely well, look good, and last. I was never a expensive jean guy until my ex got me a pair, now i'm hooked.

Nothing wrong with buying expensive clothes as long as you can afford it..
Benefits: Better cut (no LL Bean "Old man cut" Construction is often times better More expensive jeans often have a gusseted crotch. I will never own jeans without this again... Most expensive jeans I own are made by Prana axiom and Bronson |

As long as you keep it satisfied that's all that matters, gives me more time for other things. Do your fancy jeans have sequin hearts on the pockets? |

That's about the only way I'd rock a pair of 'designer' jeans, I just can't see paying more than $50 but I'm not Mr. GQ. Now that said my wife is quite fond of AG Jeans which are in that ballpark but can be had for much, much less. I wouldn't mind having some Japanese bespoke jeans but not at the price-point. View Quote Same, all I have are AG. They retail for around $150/ea but you can get them at the Rack for less than $50 any day of the week. |

I miss the 70s when Levi's button fly jeans were all you needed.

Arfcom, where if you don't buy the tactical tier 1 upper you're ghey, but if you spend more than $13.87 on jeans you're ghey. Two threads later they'll tell you that you're not a man unless you have a $1500 suit.

I payed $6 for them at a goodwill store. Yeah, it's awesome. There's a lot of office workers near me so I have a nice selection of lightly used slacks and button ups to choose from at my local Goodwill, all for 3-5 dollars. Sometimes you get them home and realize there's a broken button or a hidden worn spot, but 87% have been lightly used and still serviceable. |

I like the ripstop wrangler cargo pants from walmart. $17.95, but they only sell them in the summer. They have enough room in the crotch and have a slot in the left cargo pocket that is open on top that makes it easy to put a tool and retrieve it.
It is not that big of a problem if I ruin them with grease or dirt stains. I like Carhartts but I cant believe that they are now $50 - $60 dollars. My wife has bought me a few of the designer jeans when they are on sale for around $20 dollars. None of them have any room in the crotch. Do they do that intentionally so that you can show off? I will occasionally wear them for my wife but after about 2 hours it really gets uncomfortable. |

Did they still have a brown spot in them?

That's really not that bad for a decent quality pair of jeans. I've been looking for something made in the US that still looks good after Lucky stopped making a version of their 363 here.

Maybe shrink-to-fit 501's at $60 doesn't sound so bad anymore....

So let me get this straight OP, you got some other guys jeans 97% off.

That shit is crazy. The only guy I knew that had a $200 pair of jeans drove a shitbox $3000 GMC Pickup.
I pay $60-70 at the Lucky Outlet and it's painful every time. But they fit well and last so it's not often. |
