MS-13 Make a case for why international gangs should be considered terrorist organizations and how classifying (sp?) gangs as terrorist organizations could help bring stiffer penalties to gang violence. Or if you have a lib professor just do a report on whitey.

ETA, the Basque nationalist and separatist group. They're a terrorist-organization that kills people smack in the middle of Europe and people always forget about it. Hundreds of casualties - yet how many here remembered them? I'm guessing very few.

I believe MS-13 started in Los Angeles, then spread to Central America.  The report has to be on organizations that started outside of the US.

Jamaat ul-Fuqra

Look into them.  They are modern and have camps set up in the US.  Plenty of videos out there on the internet showing their training camps too.

What organization would be interesting for a speech?
Also, if the group is based in the United States I can do the speech on them... as long as they were established outside the US.

Red Army Faction (German Marxists)
Al Queda (Duh)
Irish Republican Army (Marxists)
FARC (Marxists)
Tamil Tigers (Marxists)

The interesting thing is, Communists have been the most prolific terrorists in history...

?
Were their factions of the IRA that were Marxist?
That'd be interesting for a paper, because I don't think a lot of people are aware of that.

Yes...

The entire movement was traditionally socialist...

And there were some elements that were entirely Marxist...

The IRA was supported by the Soviets as a 'war of national liberation', just like the various other 'Liberation' organizations/movements worldwide, including the PLO (which was also a good deal socialist/marxist more than Islamist... Which is why you had the PLO, *and* Hezbollah/Hamas).

I knew they had Russian weaponry and tried to equate their struggle to that of the Palestinians, but I don't see any Marxist ideology in the IRA. Not saying you're wrong, but all I've seen is a nationalist, somewhat religious type of ideology.  Religion and nationalism don't seem to lend themselves to Marxism or communist ideas.
