OMGWTFBBQ!!! I went to Dicks Sporting
Goods today just like I do every week to look around and try and find
ammo for my AR. Today I went in the store and went straight to the
sporting goods section sipping on an iced coffee (try and picture that
LOL) to see if they had any ammo. I was carrying my Beretta PX4 at 4 o
clock on my hip. I reach the counter just chilling and taking in ammo
choices when the manager, asst. manager, and security ninja approached
me from BEHIND AND SURROUNDED ME. It instantly put me into full alert
mode and I sat my drink on the counter and turned to speak to the
associates when the smart a@$ manager said do you have a permit for
that and I calmly replied Yes, Of course I do. I show the permit, my
drivers license and ask what the issue is and asked them to please step
back a couple of steps. They did and the manager said that firearms are
not allowed in the store. I laughed and looked at the wall of guns and
said Really?!? Then what are all these doing here? She said that when a
customer has to bring a firearm into the store, they confiscate it
until they are done shopping. At this point I am losing my patience as
I see the ammo I want and just want to check out and get on my way, but
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...that would be wayyy to easy for them. She goes
on and on about how firearms are not permitted in their stores and I
explained to her that there is no signage whatsoever in the store or in
the lot that agrees with her. I informed her that Open Carry is legal
in Georgia as well as concealed carry, that I was not breaking any
laws, and offered to leave at her request. Then she changed her mind
and asked what I wanted and I told her 5 boxes of that ammo (pointing
to 5.56). She had an associate get the ammo and the 3 of them escorted
me to the check out line and to my truck. I don't get it...I open carry
everywhere I go and never have an issue or a single person glance at my
gun. Then all of a sudden I am a criminal for carrying in a sporting
goods store that I have been to numerous times with the same gun at my
side. I have to call BS on this one and am going to contact Dicks
offices and see if this is there policy. TOTAL BULL!!!

Like
i said...it was a total shocker. I have never had that issue before in
the same store. Must have been having a bad day. Oh well...sucks for
them...I could drop some serious cash in there
Quoted:Actually...they had a lot more..
.im on budget though Quoted:You can tell I was a hardend criminal wearing
shorts, button up hawaiian shirt, flip flops, iced coffee, and a straw hat on

The real dumb move
on there part was the guy at the gun counter asking for my permit as
well to make sure i was legit. He said and I quote "We just want to
make sure your legit. I dont want to have to pull one of these out
(points to a .22 rifle). Im thinking to myself what I am going to do if
he was to grab a gun.
