Good luck . . . The "justice system" has had one of mine for nearly five years.

OP, did you get your guns back? Not yet. Crime lab has to test fire them and at the rate of the North County shootings it could be a while. Crime lab will take some time, its backed up a bit. I just a response back on a gun seized a year ago. Pretty sure those two are gonna go to prison. Question is, who rolls on his buddy first for a lighter sentence? Luterman would be popular in prison as XCR noted... He'd better roll on the other one...like yesterday. |

It came back stolen so they arrested him and Chesterfield PD questioned him and he squealed on his buddy so they go search his room and find my other pistol. After he squealed they charged him and then he asked for a lawyer AFTER HE CONFESSED AND RATTED OUT THE OTHER ONE. Stupid. |

Had a pedophile confess to everything AFTER being advised of his Constitutional Rights. He made written statement after his videotaped confession. Then asked for his attorney. He's serving 18 years minimum. |

Looks like a couple of guys who were JUST about to turn their lives around.
I bet they recently enrolled in college for the Fall. |

What kind of guns were they? Throw aways or something decent?

in PA there are some counties that will not renew your carry license if you have a firearm stolen from your car. good luck getting your guns back in a reasonable amount of time.

He wont have any issues getting his CCW permit renewed. Additionally, in Missouri, you do not need a CCW permit in order to have a loaded firearm in the car ready to go. |

I'm in STL County Yeah, your CCW permit wont be held up due to the guns being stolen. No idea if Ellisville is part of St Louis County or St Charles County......meaning I dont know which lab has your gun and how backed up they are. If it's St Louis County, they are still catching up after moving the lab to a new building....I honestly wouldnt be surprised for it to take a year for them to test the gun. How long were they out of your possession? Are you the original owner of both guns? If they werent out of your possession for very long, and you are the original owner of both guns, the likelihood of them being used in a crime is low, and you should get them back shortly after they are tested. If they were used in something like a murder, they are going to be held as evidence until the trial is concluded.....and God only knows how long that will take. |

Then you could wait as long as a year for them to be tested.
Depending on the suspects arrested for stealing your guns.....if they plead guilty, you should get your guns back after they get tested. If the two retards try and fight the case, the guns may be held as evidence until the trial is over. Sorry... |

Believe me, I wish it was faster....it affects my cases too. I think they are catching up, but it will still take awhile. Expect a year, and if its faster, you'll be pleasantly surprised. |

Ah....
This thread got me thinking. Asshole has been coming into work lately and harassing some of my female coworkers. I told them to call the police- our policy when this happens. They refused because they are pacifists. One of them, a big Feminist, said this to me: "We want equality, but up to a certain point." Translation: You handle it. Yeahhhhh.......... I kicked him out for the day. I told them we'd be calling the cops on him within 2 weeks, in spite of their, sniff, live and let live attitude. Hugs anyone? I just checked the local mugshot page of the police Web site and he got arrested some place yesterday for shoplifting..... OP- Glad they caught the bastards! |
