So instead of helping troubleshoot your friends rifles, you took their ammo, shot it in your gun, then posted about how superior your gun is on the internet?

You sound like a real hoot to shoot with.

I would have helped them get their gear squared away, running 100%, and not posted a damn thing.   But that's the kind of friend I am.

I love it when someone doesn't read the whole thread before posting.

I am guilty of doing it myself sometimes.

This.

And shame on them for not knowing it. I rage every time some retard tries telling me it's better to run the gun dry so it "doesn't attract dirt"

Maybe I'm blessed but I've never had that happen with any of my ARs.  The occasional mag-induced failure but that's about it.  Properly maintenance & lube (and not too much) are the answers.

I would think that the same guys busting balls about "too much gear" are the guys I see at the range with the results you posted about OP.

Im down there with stuff that works, be it Pmag or 30 yr old aluminums, Eotech or A1 irons.  My stuff works because of the many many previous sessions where something failed.  After you do this shit long enough, you start to weed out the problematic stuff.

At some point, if you actually use this shit, you start buying things and doing things because it works, not because internet.com says its awesome.

I have never had any of my "Tacticool" guns fail to shoot.

Come to think of it I haven't had any of my "Throw down the driveway" ones fail to fire either.

I shoot old aluminum 20 & 30's, SS 20-30's, MagPul 20-30's and even C-Mags and none of tham fail.

I normally help my buddies out instead of trying to make them look like novices.

Ohh I helped em out, after the lesson sunk in.

So did they run right after you lubed their rifles?

This shouldn't be a "neener-neener, my properly lubed rifle worked" thread, it should be a "maintain your sh*t and it will work" thread.

As such, this thread ... is dildos.
