Well boys, today is my sixty-second birthday.  I am finally on the right side of Social Security.

I only wish I could draw out for as long as I paid in.

I hope you live to be 187, Painless.

Ha good for you, my dad went down today (birthday 12th) and talked to them.

I'm guessing he's gonna having a problem paying himself only 11,700 a year though.

Somehow I thought you were older.  Actually my dad is older which now seems odd.

You know I pay your salary don't you?

Yep, I do.

I plan on going to the range tomorrow, Boss, if that is okay with you.

I have no problem with it.   However, since you're now making money back from US, I'm going to have to accompany you to ensure you are following all of the official safety procedures.

/Happy Birthday O_P.

Congrats anyways!

Congrats O_P.

I will hopefully be posting a buckshot versus drywall/framing studs in the next couple weeks. The wife went back to work so we have some spare cash again to finish the waterbox. Bought the waferboard/bolts/paint and 20 one gallon jugs of water today. Just need to finish painting, screw the waferboard on, and set it up in the pasture.

Enjoy it while it is still available. I don't think it will be around much longer.

That, and Happy Birthday.

Happy B-Day. But you didn't pay into anything. You got taxed period. There is no "system" there is just taxes and wealth redistribution.

Happy Birthday.  I only have 16 more years before I can draw, if it is still available.

You are starting to take it at 62?

Yep.

Went to  pre-retirement seminar as I approached retirement and they showed mathematically how it was foolish to wait till 65 years old to start to draw it.  You have to live past 85 to even break even for the money you lose between 62 and 65.

But don't tell anybody.

Happy Birthday and thanks for the information. I was thinking of waiting until 65.

Not now.
