If you are going to go with a professional cleaner, do the Chem-Dry thing.  Works SO much better than steam cleaning.  And you don't have to stay off the carpets for a whole day.

For blood in my house I use Nature's Miracle that I always have for the pets.  Let it soak a bit then blot up.

Glad the cutie is doing well. Best wishes on a full recovery.

Can only address the wall issue. Spot prime with a pigmented shellac primer such as BIN. Apply liberally but not so heavy as to run. Allow to dry then top coat.

Damn...I hope things turn out well.

Thats the hardest part of being a parent.
My daughter is wild, and sometimes it feels like it's only a matter of time till she hurts herself.
