I only drive as fast as conditions allow. Conditions include weather, visibility, and police presence.

Sometimes, in Dallas, that can be a pretty good clip.

On the highway I drive 70

I dont care if its 55 or 85

On surface streets I try to drive the speed limits but get stuck behind all the Miami drivers doing 10 under

5 over on local roads and smaller highways I'm unfamiliar with.

8-10 over on local roads and highways I know

5 over in downtown or residential areas

I-40: 65mph limit so...anywhere between 75 & 85, depending on how late I am

64: 70mph limit so...at one point up to 90, but after almost getting pulled I've gone down to 80

I have been known to hit some rediculous speeds in my 350Z...

Me too in my RX7 TurboII.

Basically, as fast as I can get away with and conditions dictate.

Let me school you in SoCal driving...

USUALLY it says 65...and you are going 5-7 mph.

SO...when the road is open, and it says 65...you are owed at least 85 to make up for the hours of going 5-7.

This is just how it is.

AMEN!!!
If you're heading out to Riverside from the OC on the 91 your allowed to go 90 if your car can handle it.

Like the 91 is EVER moving faster than 10 mph.

THAT is why you get to do 90 on the 15, when you finally make it past the 91.

As fast as I can and not any faster.

When I'm making the run from DC to Philly on 95 that usually means 80-85 except for the times when there is a jackass who thinks it is 'safe' to do the speed limit in the hammer lane causing a large backup.

I drive LEO speed.

In other words, I pay no attention whatsoever to the posted limit.

Around 60 in a 55 zone, but I drive a small pickup so I really can't go that fast to begin with.

That reminds me.  Yesterday, coming into metro Atlanta on I85 South on the NE side of town, traffic was running about 65 in a 70 in a stretch of I85 where 85 will get you run over.

I worked my way through it in my Frontieer and finally found the problem.  A Charlotte/Mecklinburg cop (from NC, way out of his jurisdiction) was driving at 65 in the left lane and no one would go past him.  I noticed the NC plate and I also knew for a fact that no PD that had jurisdiction in that area used white Crown Vics.  Well, I worked my way up behind him and flashed the lights at him.  He moved over and I went by.

I let him know what I thought of his bullshit with hand signals as I went by.
