When i was younger, I was a talented eater. I never met anyone personally that could eat more than I could. I got thrown out of more than one buffet. I remember one manager breaking the bad news to me, telling me to "Get yourself an attorney buddy. That is 'all you can eat'." I remember that a pizza chain had a contest when they opened in town and I ate 8 lbs of pizza in about 30 minutes to win. I always 'ate' the food though, chewing and swallowing.

I watch this video and am amazed, and more than a little grossed out.

I love food, even tend to overeat at times, but the disgusting celebration of gluttony that is an American eating contest makes me sick.

I expect men to revel in this kind of thing, but would expect (hope) that a woman would have enough dignity to stay out of it.

I clicked on it, then realized I had no desire to watch it. I don't get competitive eating. It's right up there with men who want to become women, I just don't get it.
