Again, black/racial slavery (what we think of today) was not started by him. If that was the case, why the hell did the Virigina legislature pass a act in 1670 that stated that non-christian servants brought "by shipping" were to be slaves for life? They had to further clarify it that in 1682 stating that slaves are all imported non-Christian servants. What about the correction law of 1669? The Johnson case was a stepping stone to racial slavery just like the Bacon Rebellion. The ruling did not turn all black servants in to slaves. Black servants, like Emanuell Cambow, served their time and still became free after the ruling.  It seems that Johnson did not care that he was black but just wanted him for the labor or something else. It was more of a class issue than racial issue I would say at time in relation to slavery. Also, it looked like there was a "pissing affair" between the guy, a white planter, that Casor wanted help from/became a servant for a few months and Johnson.  

I have no problems admitting that he was the first recorded slave owner to own a slave that committed no crimes in Virginia. He opened the door to the possibility of racial slavery (what we think of today) but he did not start it. FYI, Johnson did have some other servants but it seems there is no information that can explain what happened to them.

-Sidenote
There was already at least one black slave in VA before the Johnson ruling and he was John Punch. He ran away with two white servants and were recaptured. The two whites were given four more years of servitude but Punch was given the sentence of slavery for life.

The war initially started because of tarriffs that Lincoln was going to levy
on all states ,that unfairly affected the south because it effected what
they produced.He also tried to pass laws at a federal level that
many states wanted to be state controlled laws.
Many who had nothing to do with slavery, were going to loose their
properties and livelyhoods.

We must not forget the other side of these slavery transactions. THE SELLER In and effort to further add to Black History Month we should note the tribes that sold their fellow black man to whitey. I don't care for black history month.  Black history is American history.

When I was in high school, a kid came up to my friend and I and asked us if we knew what month it was.  February, we told him.  "No, it's black history month.  So wake up."  My friend asked what that was supposed to mean (in reference to the "wake up" comment) and the kid flipped shit, calling us ignorant white trash who disrespected everytihng the black people have worked for.

 This would imply that demoncraps in America have abandoned communism.  I think that would be incorrect -- they still see communism as the end all -- be all goal.

Very astute. Giving someone a handicap in a sport admits they are inferior. As has been stated blacks are NOT but by essentially telling them they are and we must help you, you are in fact hobbling them.

I celebrated black history month last year by buying a case of SA 308 surplus.

Because NON RACIST (like most of white America) don't feel the need to define themselves according to race. This is why there is no WAACP, No White Miss America, No White Music Awards, etc. The ONLY groups that define themselves by RACE are racists groups like the KKK, AN, etc. and of course black groups that define themselves by race. They claim that they aren't the same as other "race based" groups but the fact remains that it is IMPOSSIBLE to define yourself according to race and NOT be a racist.
