Hawaii v. OSU....what we deserve....
Best game would be USC v. LSU |
LSU is 7th in the BCS rankings Lol, KU and VT are higher in the BCS than LSU. |
As in soon to be #1 in the nation scoreboard?? |
apparently you don't know how the whole concept of scoreboard works |
This whole thing just goes to show how much the BCS sucks and a 16 team playoff would be a prefered solution. It works for everyother division in college football.
HELL YEAH!!! we'll find out tomorrow in the rankings!!! |
doesn't D 2 and D 3 have playoffs? |
And every other 1 loss team just (or very soon) became a 2 loss team. |
Herbrstreet "OU winning is the worst thing that can happen to the BCS"
Well, if one team winning messes it up, it is a joke. College football fans must DEMAND a playoff!! |
KU/OSU are 1 loss teams. The nation would much rather watch a KU/OSU than GA/OSU national champ. |
Uhhh... Yeah.... When you open up ESPN.com and look under rankings tomorrow get back to me with OSU's ranked number and Florida's ranked number. I'll give you a hint.... The lower the number, the better the team. |
KU did not even play in the conf championship. Same as Georgia..
They are out. |
:::::Cough:::::::16 (or 32) team playoff starting on the second saturday of each december with the early rounds played at the home stadiums of higher seeded teams and the latter rounds being played at 1st and 2nd tier bowls. Any team not good enough to go to the playoffs can still play in a traditional bowl game.:::::Cough::::::
.....I'm just sayin'. |
And Hawaii is a 0 loss team. Doesn't mean they're the best. Strength of schedule matters. Compare KU's opponents to UGA's. |
OSU is 100% in the BCS. KU didn't have a tough enough schedule I guess. Who was their one loss against? It's either Georgia or LSU. |
Finals are in Dec, so 16 would be max, but 8 would work! |
I couldn't agree more. Hell, I would settle for a playoff of all of the conference champions. It won't happen for quite a while. Too much money in the system as it sits. All bickering between fans aside, it is about money and nothing else. |
What a totally fucked up situation this creates.
Mediocre OSU who played no one all year is in for sure. Hawaii who is undefeated and pretty damn good is out, no matter what. LSU who won their conference but is probably not the best SEC team might be in. Georgia who is ranked higher but didn't win the SEC is not for sure in. Kansas who got beat by the #1 team who lost tonight is probably not in, but could be. USC who is the best team in the nation but lost two games to bad opponents while banged up is probably out. Oklahoma who beat #1 but got beat by KSU and would probably choke again in a bowl game is probably out. Holy fuck. How can anyone claim a national championship playing in this field of bullshit? Well, OSU fans probably will if they luck out again, but I swear no one deserves the title this year....well maybe Hawaii if they could play for it. |
Oklahoma just dominated the #1 team in the country and won their conference.
How are they being left out of this discussion? |
and in other news...UF STILL SUCKS!!! eat that Gator! |
NO DOUBT!!!!!! |
Hawaii played the 117th ranked (out of 119) schedule. Any of the teams in the top 10 would wax them (hint: Colt Brennan can't throw when he is on his back). |
LSU was supposed to be good.
USC was supposed to be good. Michigan was supposed to be good. Texas was supposed to be good. Florida, West Virginia, etc., etc., etc..... As far as I'm concerned, anything by OSU this year is a bonus. |
100%? Oh, now that #1 and 2 lost. Probably .980 or .990....I dont think you can be 100% with a loss, especially to an unranked team...haha... KU lost to #2 Missouri |
Hawaii is definitely out....they have the absolute easiest schedule in D1 football. Like 119th out of 119th. KU is marginally better at like 65th hardest. And actually, OK lost to Texas Tech (unranked) and Colorado (unranked). |
Hahahaha, well let UF and OSU play tomorrow and I can tell you who will win. Rankings don't mean shit. I also know a certian QB who will stomp all over your shit with a broken hand. |
and in more news...who didn't even make it to the SEC play-offs? ps- it's just a game, all of you UF fans are angry as always. |
Have you watched them? Everyone said EXACTLY the same thing about last year's Boise State, that they didn't deserve to even be mentioned in the same sentence as the top BCS teams, then they went to a bowl game and beat Oklahoma. The problem with this season, and college football in general is that we have no fucking CLUE who's good and who's not because everyone is knocking everyone off. I watched Hawaii several times and I'm blown away at how fast and productive they are, and how fast their defense is. I think they could beat most of the teams in the top 10, honestly. |
i live in the present, you still cling to the past... so easy to push your buttons... |
Yes, they still manage to have a 16 game playoff, in fact I think they started today. They play it just like the NCAA basketball playoffs. It works great and it is what is needed for this Division. The computers and votes is the dumbest shit in sports ever. |
Ahhhh now thats harsh |
2 losses to unranked Colorado and Texas Tech will do that to you They can beat #11 and #1 Missouri but not 6-6 Colorado and 8-4 TT? |
Hell, I'm happy with wins over Florida, Auburn, and Tech in the same year.
GO DAWGS! SIC EM! WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF! |
I'm a big-10 guy, but seriously I think the conference was really weak this year. It's not hard to see that the SEC teams beat each other up through a distribution of talent amongst the top of the conference. That whole conference is bristling with good teams, and the Big10 has 2 or three decent teams. Florida is a much better team than OSU this year. On paper, in strength of schedule, speed, depth, experience, you name it. I wouldn't put my money on OSU between those two, no fucking way. |
that's how scoreboard works buddy. we have it until you beat us. HoustonHusker is welcome to come in this thread and hang a 62-24 on me. |
No, not angry at all. Barring a few early season fuck ups, UF had a pretty damn good season, and it's not over. No angry, just grounded. I also know just because that #1 is tac'd next to the team name, doesn't mean they are the best, just what the computers and voters want. And everyone knows the BCS has a hard on for OSU. They stay up and cry at night when they can't put them in the #1 spot. |
you are dead to me and i am deleting you from my christmas card list! |
I have an even better one that I'm sure they're sick of seeing |
Let me explain the only scoreboard that you will need because your teams season is over. This is what you will see when you open the Sunday paper tomorrow. Again... Your season... over. |
yeah, you still don't know how it works.... 41-14 will never go away it will always haunt you scoreboard |
What a mess, in all actuality they should just forfeit the NC this year, Not a team around that would hold a handle to FLorida or any of the other recent NC winners. THere's gonna be a lot of pissed of school's when the BCS schedule comes out tomorrow, bring on the lawyers. Can't believe WV choked their chance away tonight. And now OSU gets to sneak back in thanks to playing in one of the lousiest conferences this year and benefit from not even having to play a conference championship game.
Pfffttt... The thought of seeing your mom naked that one year at band camp haunts me and will never go away. Last years loss is last year. This year OSU rocks the house. Florida... Not so much. |
I'm curious as to how you know what the entire nation wants...... |
Thus begins the BCS wars.
I think LSU will sneak past Georgia for the number 2 spot and quickly destroy Ohio State soon after. Too bad USC will probably be stuck playing Illinois. I would love to see them play Georgia. |
