It got down to like $2.75 before Thanksgiving then went back to $3.00+ during the Holiday now it's kinda going back down. If I had a few mil to invest I would invest in oil because it will most likely go up again around Christmas time...

I paid $2.87 on Tuesday.  Our town is usually one of the lowest in the state.  It's been under $3 for quite a while now...

For all you saying gas was cheap in 2008, you must have forgot about most of 2007 and 2008. I remember not taking our annual trip to GA in the summer of 07 or 08 because gas was $4.xx a gallon and at that time we drove a huge SUV.

IMHO, gas prices have been hosed since GWB's second term.....

This ^

'08 was one of the HIGHEST in history.  I know, because I had to sell my truck in August '08 because I couldn't afford to drive it (8 mpg).

I remember .69 as a kid. When I started driving it was around .75 a gallon...Hell I remember hearing leaded or unleaded as a kid. Not that I'm that old.

The fuckers around here raised the prices 30 to 40 cents a gallon before Thanksgiving, the price has not come back down.
I t could be a long time before we see $3 a gallon.

22 cents a gal in the 60s.  There wasn't a car made in   1970 that would hold $10 in gasoline.

I was going to call bullshit, but I seem to remember seeing  97 or 98 C in NY just before everything went bonkers.

Not free to make and only going to get more expensive as refiners offset ethanol RIN cost. Failed government legislation hoses the consumer once again! Glad
we got some ethanol in that gas, raised food prices, blew up my chainsaw and created the RIN system to make someone rich.

I filled up my truck and all my gas cans two weeks ago for $1.21/ gal. Supermarket discount points for the win! Got about 37 gallons for $45. BWAHAHAHA!

ETA: Tuna fish 4/ $5 ($1.20 per, on sale from $1.69 per), buy 7, get $.40 off per gal. So I bought 35 cans, what the hell, I needed to cycle my stock. Toss in a "spend $75, get $.40 per gal off" coupon, plus every dollar is a point, you can save real dough.

So what is everyone paying now in December, 2013 - And where are you located?

Paid $3.85 for 93 octane today in Portland Maine

87 octane was $3.65

Since i posted this yesterday, gas prices went up another .10 cents per gallon on all octane's today-
Nice kind folks, gouging prices right as everyone is filling up before the big snow storm of 14" -16" to hit here tomorrow-

But what i don't understand is where Maine is such a huge state- Gas prices are .30 - .40 cents lower 60-100miles north of here.
I'd think it would be the other way around since it's a longer delivery route to bring the gas further north... but logic doesn't apply to this theory i guess.

I remember sniveling when gas went from $1.17 to $1.35 overnight for a few weeks.  Now its $3.03 and I fill up about once every 14 days, if and when I finally get a decent job I'll have to up and get me a more economical vehicle, no reason to have drive around a HD F150 that drinks gas like a race horse pisses.
