Yep.

I'd add Red Army to the list too.

Speaking of Red Army, Ralph Peters' Civil War detective series would make for either an interesting series or series of movies as well.

I didn't really expect much from Mr. Brooks so completely forgot about it until one night when there was absolutely nothing else worth watching on and it was on HBO, it was a hell of a lot better than I expected and I actually wound up buying it on blu-ray.

Yeah, I did hear they replaced Keanu with Will Smith for John Wick 2.

Would love Von Neumann's War, The Looking Glass series and the Ghost ('Paladin of Shadows' I think is the official series name) series of novel's by John Ringo.
Never happen, but I'd love to see it.

Could anyone else see Ron Livingston as the main character in Ghost?

Not holding my breath because Hollywood is terrified of pissing off China (see the Red Dawn remake as proof).

"The Red arrow Army", or the story of Fightin' Joe Westnedge.

There are too few modern WW1 movies, and even fewer that are well done, that honor the actual story of the real Heroes of that war.

Have you read his book, "Good News(oops wrong book, it's Brave Cowboy) "? It was made into a small B&W film from 1962 starring Kirk Douglas called, "Lonely Are the Brave".

I recommend the movie highly. I fucking weep every time.

Films with original story lines, like the 80s & 90s instead of constant remakes all the time.

I'd like to see HBO (or Showtime, or Cinemax, etc.) do a series based on The Enemies Trilogy (Matthew Bracken). It'd be too much for a movie, but could be done right in a short run series

ETA: ... and Monster Hunter International, of course!

Was supposed to be in production with Ridley Scott, but the rights lapsed and it looks like no talent Channing Tatum will have a starring role.

This, I'd also like to see the Tom Clancy book Without Remorse made into a movie, but given the track record for the other books into movies its probably better they dont.

trilogy adaptation of R A Salvatore's demon saga, with Elbryan and Jilsepony, and the fat, magic-rock wielding monk.....i thought peter jacksons trolls and giants came straight out of those books, they looked exactly like what i imagined while reading those books...

also would like to see another trilogy type set of R A Salvatore's Icewind Dale series....all the Drizzt and Wulfgar stories, but honestly i like the demon saga story better.

also Robert E Howards short stories would be great on film...just that they'd likely be hour long shorts, but tha'ts ok...

Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing an origin story for him, or at least the last battle from Born as an intro to the movie.
