How could anybody not like a show where they fling pianos with a trebuchet?
|
|
I probably watched every episode. Loved that show, but not sure how I would feel about it now.
|
|
I watched it and enjoyed it until Fleischman left.
Edit; I never bought Holling Vinceour as a woodsman. He just didn't convince me. |
|
Heck yeah. Janine Turner is still hot. She's extremely Conservative, and even has her own radio show as well.
several of the cast were recently on one of the morning shows, and they said there's a really good chance of a reunion show happening. Rob Morrow doesn't look like he's aged a day. |

I grew up in AK, there was only one TV channel. RATnet. We were forced to watch whatever was on. I hated that show, everybody in Alaska hates it too. In the show the weather was always sunny... It's never sunny in my part of AK. In SE AK, it always rains. Did I mention I hated it. View Quote |

Some of the best writing done for a tv show, ever. Great characters. Good settings.
Had a fellow Unimog buddy that lived next door to the house that was Maurice's house for the show. DVD release fucked the history of it though, with the music gone.....no good. My ex was a dead ringer for Maggie, lol. If they'd release a full DVD set with original music, I'd buy it. I still have the CD's from the show, haven't listened to them for years. |

I remember watching it on occasion, but the only specific scene I recall is the old woman dancing on her own grave.

Very much enjoyed he show, but it can be disconcerting to watch a show filmed in a place you're familiar with. Was just in Roslyn Sunday before last tending the family plot.

I still want to go to the Brick in Roslyn on a wintery Friday or Saturday night, I'm guessing that is one fun bar.
I was in Roslyn at the end of the day, the Manly Man contest had just finished. I think everyone was too wasted to hang around. |

Yes. Also went to the town in Washington state where they filmed it for the hell of it. View Quote Best pizza in the state (Village Pizza) until it burned down and the owner died (same night). Great bar (the Brick) with the longest running water spittoon. Awesome off road riding in the coal hills. Rafting the Yakima starts right there. I went to college and acted with the girl that played the younger version of the lead lady of that show. I miss that place. |
|
Did not have cable at the time so we watched it a lot.
We laughed at all the Alaskan misconceptions. |

One of the only shows my wife and I could watch together because she worked days and I worked nights, but it was on before I left for work...

Was my favorite show. Would watch the reruns after college classes. It was Maggie that forever changed my preference in women to brunettes.
I have the first three seasons on DVD. Still wrapped waiting for a few days off to watch. |

Wasn't that pretty much the number one hit TV show from about the '89 to '92 timeframe? Remember the little green monster in the woods? View Quote I watched it...tuned in for re-runs as well. The town wasn't in AK, but some place in WA. On some road trip in those parts I stopped in and walked around, if Im remembering correctly I was able to go into the radio station...Had photos, but they're gone. Side note...One town I stopped in at on that road trip was creepy as fuck. No idea what the name of it was but it reminded me of the sort of place where if you didn't watch what you said or did you'd wind up missing. |
|
I remember watching reruns, but don't really recall specifics. I remember really enjoying the show.
I also really enjoyed watching Magnum P.I. with my dad growing up. Now it's on amazon via a Starz subscription, and I am watching it right now. |

I've never seen a single episode but the first Northern Exposure soundtrack was amazing. A very eclectic mix of good music.

At some point every winter while snowed in, I unzip my first three seasons from their little jackets and marathon watch. It's probably my favorite program.
BTW, Maggie > Shelly |

Married three times. One husband slipped on ice and fell of the roof. Another got hit by a satellite that fell from space. And another that froze on an ice berg.
