B-1 for me. A stick, handles like a big fighter, and can go Mach 1+

I dunno, the YB-49 looks pretty matched to me...

I love the B2 Spirit, the shape is fuckin unmatched!

I've always been pissed that they didn't buy 50 of them.  As it stands, some states have B2s named after them and some don't.  Mine doesn't, although a high-tax, strong-union, anti-death penalty state like MI doesn't merit one.

I guess I'll have to move to a state with a B2.  Is there a 'Spirit of Texas'?

Or move to Mid-Missouri (around Knob Noster) and watch them fly low over your house.

Dude... That mother is HUGE compared to that fighter

They are impressively large, but do to their shape, they blend in very well with the horizon when flying low.  Hard to spot them until they are almost on top of you.

... but am I the only one who thinks the B1 is still the sleekest, bad-ass-est modern bomber ever built?

But the important thing is......the B2 doesn't show up on radar.

B-1 doesn't show up much, either....

Not nearly as stealthy as the B-2, obviously, but a sneaky little bastard compared to the B-52....

If I had to run a mission and I had a choice, I'd want to fly the B-2.

Stealth baby. You're safer in that plane than any other we have.

Because they don't even think of sending it into a situation where there is even the remote possibility of being shot down.

Anyone have a pic of the concept drawing of the B-52 re-engined with Rolls-Royce Trents?

They say that Jack Northrop cried when he saw the B-2 mockup in the early '80's just before he died.

I named my Alaskan Malamute after the B-2 since he was born on its first flight:  July 17, 1989.   It's a great airplane and he was a great dog.
