Great pics.  Bobcats are a bunch of hurt in a small cuddly looking package.

This.

I can testify that getting drunk and trying to catch one in a burlap sack is a bad idea.  VERY, very bad idea.  Those bastards can get downright grumpy. I've met OSHA inspectors with a better sense of humor.

I'm sure you would also get grumpy if some drunk asshole was trying to put a bag over your head.

Hey, I never said the cat was being unreasonable!

To funny!

Cute kitty!

That doesn't look like a bobcat much. Looks more like some strange mix.

Would have to check the absence of a tail to be sure it's a bobcat.  But in FL there are one or two more species of wild felines running around.  It could be a juvenile cougar/panther or a full-grown example of one of the species normally associated with South America.

something like a serval. people have them as "pets" but they are far from it
probably let it go when it became more than they wanted to handle

true story, guy up the road just ate the cost of 6 bales of hay because feral cats have took up residence in the hay barn

No.  Puma + Housecat = Puma has housecat for lunch.

Bobcats are a distinct breed of wild felines all unto themselves, sometimes called wildcats instead of bobcats.

I live in south Florida. That is what the bobcats look like in Florida. I have a friend that runs a big cat rescue and I've seen them all up close, so I'm relatively familiar with them.
Our bobcat (it crosses our property all the time hunting) looks different than ocelots and servals.

Only bobcat I managed to get pics of was this one in a local nature preserve a couple years ago:

I did manage to snap some shots of a lynx in Alaska three years ago:

Awesome pics people.
Here's my contribution.

I was calling coyotes a few years ago and this one came in and sat at my feet.  One yard away.  He got a little nervous as I fished my camera out and the pic was taken at about 6 feet.

I tried to get a pic with my foot in it to show how close he was, but he got a little skittish.  I took these as he left.

A few more over the years:
