I am as about right wing as one can get without falling off the planet, but I have to give CB credit for hanging around here and listening to the other viewpoints on this forum. This in itself does prove to me she has an open mind. People change their opinions about things all the time after getting reasonable information from others. I hope this will be the case.

I have a feeling that this come down to Cloning Bagels wanting to kill babies.
GWB is against abortion and killing babies so he is eveil. Kerry supports killing babies and protecting a womans right to do so, so he is the good guy. CB, if you want to get over your hate towards republicans, you must first realize that your viewpoints are wrong. But I doubt that will happen, because you care more about killing babies then anything else. |

I think it's been pretty well understood that sites like the DU would send people over here to get accounts and to act as agent provacateurs in a attempt to sway fence sitters on this board. It certainly would explain the bump in anti-Bush postings by newbies over the last several months.
Their modus operendii seem to try to convince people here that Bush is chomping at the bit and would renew the AWB if given a chance (there is no proof what he would, and all ACTIONS have shown contrary btw), or take away a 'woman's right to choose' (which is really preserving a unborn woman's 'right to live') and that 'they're going to show him by voting Libertarian'. God, it couldn't be anymore obvious to those of you who are actually Libertarians that you are simply the 'useful idiots' of the Left. |

That is like comparing Bush to Hitler. Kerry is: an opportunist. a flip-flopping politician trying to become POTUS. an elitist. But to call him evil is just wrong. Kerry with a Republican congress would be great for Libertarians. The bottlenecks would be amazing, nothing would get accomplished. |

Untrue. Only 'libertarians' who do not understand libertarian ideas are the 'useful idiots'. None who actually do, would ever vote for Kerry. Reluctantly vote for Bush, go LP, or abstain, sure. But endorse a socialist? No way. Completely counterproductive. Completely different visions of what the role of state power should be. Especially in regards to federalism. CB is most certainly confused, but she's young, and we should all cut her some slack. I was a marxist at her age, and now: a gun-loving, pro-life libertarian. I support GWB as well, and will vote for him. So if CB is here now, taking all this abuse, it's more of a good sign than not. Sgtar15 is probably correct, and CB's preference comes down to abortion. Sad, really. |

In the spirit of attracting as many females as we can to our cause... I say, let her be. I don't recall her ever causing any trouble and seems a like a nice person.
15 years ago I was hyper democrat... very radical, very left. Mostly because I was very confused about a great many things ( I was also young-- teenager through early 20's). I have since, through a very long process transformed myself into a libertarian and for the past 8 years, I would consider myself a neo-conservative. Many of fellow DC area/beltway friends and neighbors say that I remind them of Dick Cheney, with respect to my views. My point: a real and postive transformation of one's fundemental political and philosphical views does not happen over night. It is a very long process, best described as "opening a pair of curtains one inch at time". Bagels-- read "Atlas Shrugged". Ayn Rand is what led me out of the dark left. Today, I have come to see many of the flaws (i.e. athesism) in her Objectivist ideology, but I still value much of the outline and have adapted to a Conservative framework that includes God. After Ayn Rand, take a close look at Cold War history and how liberalism-statism has infected our education system, medida, and entertainment industry. Study the life of Ronald Reagan. Good luck. PS if your really are troll or DU operative... go F' yourself and take a nice long trip to Cuba or Russia or Saudi Arabia. |

i for one am glad to see her here. as far as i know she has never caused a problem and has been a good member. Apparently she came here to see what the "other" side was all about. From what i have seen it's been a genuine interest and not a troll. Perhaps if she stays here long enough some of "OUR" veiws will stick. If not at least she will the the benefit of knowing both sides of the coin. Something most people never take the time to do. I do know that you guys bashing the hell out of her are not going to sway her at all.

so she has a different viewpoint, so what, thats what America is all about. The freedom to be different.
At least here she can see a different way to look at things, and decide on her own what is right, and not just blindly agree to "belong". I certainly dont agree with everything a Republican is "supposed" to agree with, i beleive in freedom of choosing your own opinion, and you have the right to believe whatever you want, no matter how stupid it may seem to other groups. Before all you high and mighty people decide to burn her at the stake for having a different opinion, think about it. Its sad to me to see people run off because you dont agree with their thoughts. Give her a break. |

 .Two things: 1) There are some first-class patriots on this site who spend WAY TOO MUCH TIME sniffing out liberals. HOW IN THE WORLD do you people find the time to troll EVERY liberal site ON THE WHOLE FRIGGIN INTERNET ? You folks really need to go get some sun. You guys are giving her too much credit to begin with, I mean, consider the source.
a) She's only 19 years old (maybe) just think when you were still wet behind the ears and thought you knew it all. b) She is a she (maybe) so that explains the lack of understanding when it comes to maintaining a free and soveriegn nation. Something Kerry wants no part of, he wants to get us very involved in the world court and the UN. He doesn't want our country to make it's own decisions, he want's countries like France and Germany to help us decide. The lesser of two evils my ass!!!! He wants to strip us of our guns, the lesser of two evils my ass. He wants to raise taxes to pay for "social programs", the lesser of two evils my ass. Go ahead and vote for Kerry, you will just reaffirm the fact you know shit about freedom and what the United States is all about. |

Be nice people. She is here and willing to listen to other people's viewpoints with an open mind. She hasn't ever trolled here. Her website was disgusting (comparing Boy Scouts to Nazis, Christ on a crutch, what the hell is wrong with you, girl?), but she never mentioned it and rarely even mentioned her political beliefs at all on this site. Give the personal attacks a rest. Be calm and reasonable, and let her have a chance to give her side of the story so everyone involved can have a reasonable, productive discussion.
