The design was created here as a "covert symbol" for the crew. It was so damn perfect we had to protect it. The rest is history.
Just think, we could have done the same with all the other bolts/sights that have showed up since if it was about greed. We wanted something special for all of us and it's so perfect, that people steal it all the time. The BFL belongs to all of us, as a group. Our concern is only to protect it from being misused or abused. We have given a lot of projects our blessing with licensing to create variations, regional logos, etc. If it's an arfcom thing, we usually are behind it. (Except on lowers! Sore subject.)
