First pic is from Valley View golf course in Akron. Minimalist but I love 'em!

Uh, the second pic is a sort of fail. I grind my own burger patties at home; but I can't find any recent photos. So you'll have to make due with a different type of meat!

A simple cheese burger with a butter toasted bun is all that is needed. No dragging through the garden required.

I was wondering what to eat today, but it looks like I have my answer.

It'll have to be Five Guys, though.  I don't have time to walk all the way to Good Stuff.  This post is a pic placeholder.

Yep. That's the one.
The line actually moves pretty quick. We were in line for about 30 minutes and we started around the side of the building.
Well worth it.

Noted, we did Mellow Mushroom Saturday night before the taking the boys to see the bats. I'm definitely open to a nice fat burger next time we're down there.

Bun doesn't look like much (they just use P Dutch sponge rolls), but these burgers are excellent.

Good Stuff is Chef Spike Mendelshon's place (sp? - of Top Chef fame), and their shtick is fresh beef, no additives, thick patty, doing it right.

This is the 'smokehouse' with bacon, cheddar, onion rings, and BBQ sauce. The fries are tossed in a buttload of thyme and rosemary. Sriracha and old bay sauces, and a Vietnamese coffee milkshake.

It's good.

We have a local place that makes great burgers (IMO) ...The Thurman Cafe.  They aren't all this big of course but this is The Thurmanator

A bacon double cheeseburger from Dairy Barn in Lake Charles, LA.  Not the best I've ever had but top 5.

no pictures of my home made burgers, but I like to use smallish dinner rolls for buns.

Deer Burger  from an 8 point I shot stuffed with pepper jack.  Pulled pork from a wild pig I shot. Side of tots and fries.

It is still one of my favorite meals to date.
