A Remington 700BDL in .25-06 - it was in nice shape, and a real shooter - but I wasn't hunting much, and hardly shooting at the time, and kept 700s in .22-250 and .30-06 - so I figured I wouldn't miss the .25-06 all that much... I was wrong...

SIG 226 in 40 cal.   I have mixed feelings.  I bought it for home defense and play but before we had CCW so that was not considered.  Later when we got CCW here I bought an XD-9 subcompact to carry.  I rarely used the SIG anymore and it was just too heavy for me to carry in comfort.  All it did was sit in a case and sometimes get 50 rounds through it a month.

I traded it in on my first rifle.  A DPMS AR-15 A2.  An addiction to rifles and black ones in particular was born.  Handguns are now a tool to me.  I own one, and I know how it works and how to shoot with it so I don't really need any more. I may get a couple more but they have limited appeal to me.

I still miss that SIG though.  It was smooth like butter, and could just eat the center out of targets with it.  It was a great pistol.

Sold my Colt AR15 in 9mm during the ban. I bought it for $1,200 and sold it for $2,500, but I still regret selling it. I did keep the four Colt mags though.

Ruger Mini-30.  Should have melted it down for a trotline anchor and used the stock for firewood instead.  Would have been out the cash, but the satisfaction would have been worth it.

Well since I started collecting guns the only one I've ever sold was a kel-tec sub 9.  I do however regret selling it....It was really a fun shooter, and I miss it  Maybe I'll pick up another one someday

FN49 in 8mm.  I think I got $300 for it at a gun show. I had a read a Pete Kokalis article in SOF about surplus guns and he was less than complimentary about this one.

Every gun I have ever owned, I sold at some point or another.  I don't get attached to them.

I do a lot of buying, selling, and trading... mostly to acquire different firearms.  It is mainly due to the fact that I am 22, with very little disposable income, and a taste for high quality equipment (Surefire, ACOG, etc.)  When I got ready to go to college, I sold everything but the Mauser my grandfather gave me.

Now I am about to start buying guns again.  At least this time around, I know what I want and what I don't want.

FN commercial muaser in 458 winnie. Custom engraved, two trips to SA under its belt by the original owner. I can almost cry thinking about selling that gun. I did make money on it but now realize that gun held more then money value.

I got a Colt 1911 from my dad for graduating high school. I decided I didn't want it anymore, so I sold it back to him and bought some stupid S&W 9mm.

Then last month I was reading an article about collectible Colts and I started wondering when that one was made.

It turns out that it was made in 1917, and since it has the original finish still in very good condidition it is worth around $2,500 now (I sold it to my dad for what he paid for it - $400).

I traded a Armalite AR15, was a beautiful rifle, for a Professional Ordnance Carbon 15!  This was about 6 years ago and in a moment of stupidity traded that rifle away for the Prof Carbon 15 which I ended selling for a loss.  So sad, I would like that Armalite back, it was a great praire dog killer.

Sold my Thompson Contender with 4 barrels and case for $300 at a Texas gunshow back in the mid 90s.

I still kick myself for doing that.

Mine was a April 1944 Springfield Armory M1 Garand that was a CMP gun and the only part changed on it was it's barrel. It was a Danish Service Grade and the gun had all of it's original parts including the type 2 lock bar sights. The gun shot beautifully and I don't ever know why I got rid of it but I have regretted it ever since so I have collected 3 more Garands since and I am currently trying to restore my Nov 1943 back to 100% correct era parts luckily it doesn't need too much. I am just glad it still thankfully has it's original barrel. I think I still need more Garands. I really need another Winchester Garand to go with my Winchester M1 carbine. Thanks Arvin

Springfield SAR-4800 in 5.56.  Those things are pretty rare now, should never have sold it.
