Thank god for Magnum PI and Simon and Simon.

Loved them both.

Magnum PI  season 1 out on DVD.  Funny, the first half of the first season they used the theme from the pilot.  Slowly the theme we all know so well crept into the show.  They even have the S&S crossover episode as a bonus on the disc.

Cheers

On the last DVD of season 1, there is a short interview with her and other members of the cast. She still looks hot.

I agree, it was so not a lame show. To bad it was on at the same time as Miami Vice, it might have had a better chance.

Beeeeelieve it or not, I'm walking on air, I never thought I could feel so good....

Fame (1982) - I see your graduated from a performance arts college...you can take cab number 12.

Looking back on that show now, that had to be the gayest thing on television for the whole decade.

Whiz Kids (1983) - Here's a show about kids just like you who are also into computers and will never get laid.

I never saw it.

The A-Team (1983) - Hey fool, we can't hit shit we shoot at.

The A-Team was a GREAT show! It was part of the Trifecta of 80's Cool: The A-Team, Knight Rider, and The Dukes of Hazzard

The Master (1984) - Proof that even a show about ninjas starring Lee Van Cleef can be totally gay if you just add a Van Patten.

I thought I was the only person who remembered that show. I still remember the silly butterfly medallion he had.

Punky Brewster (1984) - Yes she grew up to have a fabulous pair of breasts but we still all wanted to kill her as a child.

Never watched it.

Thank God for Miami Vice.

Ah yes, an unshaven Don Johnson wearing pastel suits with T-shirts and wicker shoes with no socks.....Those were the days....

More:

Scarecrow and Mrs. King

The show with the three guys and the robot...One of the guys lived on a boat and one was a geek, who built the robot....They were detectives of some sort. (Just like everyone else was in the 80s...)

There was also a show about a guy who had a motorcycle that shot lasers...I forget the name....Was it Street Hawk??

And I cannot believe nobody has mentioned the best show on 80's TV:

TJ Hooker!!!

This thread prompted a discussion between me and my wife about 80's TV .

I am trying to remember the name of a short lived show ,and she doesnt remeber either ,anyway...

The basic plot was this secret agent guy that would download abilities temporarily .Example -if a case required him to me say a piano virtuoso ,he could 'download' in to his brain everything known to man about concert piano and Bam! he could play like a master pianist -or if he had to steal a Russian plane he could download -Mig flying skills ,Russian language skills etc etc.

The kicker and eventual nail-biter in every episode was that this 'download' was temporary and it always came down to mere seconds until his downloaded memory vanished before he could complete his mission.

Ring any bells?

What was that really lame show about this time traveler guy that drops in and out of various eras in history?  At some point a curly haired ugly kid tags along and they get into misadventures throughout history?

It isn't the show from the 90's with Scott Backula...that is another lame show.

Hunter never carried a 1911 to my knowledge. All I ever remember seeing him carry was a short barreled S&W magnum revolver a la:

and an H&K P9S a la:

He also briefly used a version of the Beretta 92 in a couple of episodes.

The second pic looks very much like a 1911.
