It's hard to know since we don't know him from Adam...

You can go on Amazon and type in "gifts for men" and lots of stuff comes up.

My hubby is hard to buy for as well. Usually if he wants something, he gets it. I have to think way outside the box.

A pencil.

The girl I was dating at the time remembered that St. Patrick's Day was an important holiday at my college. She wanted to get me something green, but the only thing she could find in her college bookstore was a green wooden pencil with her college's logo,

It meant a lot to me that she remembered. Thirty plus years later I still have that pencil.

Damn shame she turned out to be a cheating slut.

Yu-Gi-Oh duel disk. Me and my brother would play in the middle of the street and pretend we were in a stadium like in the show. Those were good times.

An Ex-G/F`s Mother, who thought I was special. Had bought me a creeper that folds up into a stool. I`m a wrench monkey at home and love the garage puttering. Ex is gone, her mother passed a few years ago. Still love that thing, and use it almost every time I`m in the shop. Point is, a gift that keeps on giving, and reminds us of how special someone thought we were.

A company at a trade show I was attending had wooden models of different airplanes as part of their display, one of which as a C-141, tail number 60177 (the Hanoi Taxi).  I commented to a friend of mine that I had more hours on that tail number than any other 141 I flew.

Fast forward to the hospitality room sponsored by that company...

They held a raffle for the airplanes, with each winner picking whichever one they wanted.  I had my fingers crossed that I would win so I could pick the 141. No such luck, but my friend won and he picked the 141. As he walked back with the airplane in his hands, I comment that he won my airplane. He shook his head, handed me the plane, and said, "Nope...it's still yours."

THAT was the best gift I've been given.

What is something he enjoys doing, then get him something related to that that he would never spend the money on himself.
I too am hard to shop for, like others said if I want it I get it.  But I do get frugal sometimes and buy lesser value items.
I love to trout fish, well fish period lol.  Back in the day when "all star" rods were the rage, I looked and looked at them but couldn't justify the cost.  Wife went to bass pro and got me an allstar trout rod with a pfluger reel and it floored me.  One that she paid attention, and two that she paid that for a trout combo.  Still have it.
