I don't think it'd be so bad to elect Sanders, and keep a GOP controlled congress and senate. That'd prevent anything from getting done by stupid Republicans, or evil Democrats.
Just thinking out loud. It's obviously not the best case scenario. |

I live in Madison sadly. I'm tired of living in commie towns. But I may be moving to Arkansas soon hopefully so let's see.

He hasn't passed any gun control and they've done an ok job and checking his radical environmental goals. Obamacare sucks, but you can't win everything. |

My liberal friend and neighbor likes Sanders because of his H1B visa views. I asked him if he would then vote for Sessions. To which, he looked at me and said no. I told him that Sessions has gone much farther than Sanders in this area.
However, Sanders has hit upon a winning theme which is jobs and giving jobs away to overseas. The question is whether he can carry that theme to the finish line is another matter. But, I do expect this will shape the campaign for others. |

I wonder how many fund raising dinners it took to pay 10,000 people. View Quote No, that's Madison. I doubt you will find a higher number of radical socialists anywhere else in the country. If this socialist ninny can create a real schism in the DNC, then I'll send him a donation.
It's all smoke though. He's a far-left strawman put on display for the eventual DNC candidate to point at and show how "centrist" he/she is. |

The answer is to elect a good conservative, not rely on gridlock (which hasn't stopped Mr. Phone & Pen). If Sanders was elected it would be a disaster, but I would be ever so slightly consoled by the schadenfreude over Hillary not even winning the Dem primary again. |

I said it in '07/'08, and I'll say it again this time around:
ANYONE but Hillary. There are few people in this world I truly hate or despise and there is no question that she is at the top of the list. She embodies all that is wrong with the country. Trump has better qualifications than her to be POTUS. If Bernie gets the nod, at least there are enough Dems, GOP'ers, and RINO's to stop him. Hillary??? They'll all line up and walk with her right over the cliff. ANYONE but Hillary. |

This is actually good news. Anything that upsets the Hilary apple cart is good. Sanders has very little chance of getting the nomination and zero chance of getting elected. But if he can push Hilary to the left it just gives the Republicans that much more ammunition.
And in Mad City. Castro would fill the football stadium. |

Besides, his own rhetoric invokes the bad parts of socialism...blandness, uniformity and long lines. The reason Obama succeeds is he lies about his socialism and paints over any references to the negatives. People have forgotten what the Soviet Uion represented and caused.
Bernie's own words bring back that imagery. “You don’t necessarily need a choice of 23 underarm spray deodorants or of 18 different pairs of sneakers when children are hungry in this country,” Sanders lamented.
