Tangential question: Did I miss something, or was the alliance between the humans and the rebel centurions in the BSG series hardly mentioned?
I can't be the only one who wanted to see them go kick some ass...

Look at the credits of a lot of the actors in the show. There's a lot of retreads from the other series. No connection... guess they just still fit in the suits and the casting people know that nobody will recognize them since they were all nobodies.

yeah, imo they tried too hard to make Caprica different from BSG and totally left out the qualities that made BSG so good

I'll wait until it's finished. I really liked the reimagined BSG until they started to deviate from the original direction of the show and started with the sophomoric "final five" cylon crap. None of that made any sense.

That's because Ronald Moore basically stopped writing for the show and concentrated on his big turd Caprica. There was a moment in BSG when you could see the writing just basically stop.....Final Five, Kara is a ghost or angel or whatever, Cavill controlled everything for the previous 30 years...blah blah blah it made me sick...

Hopefully this two-hour special will lead to many more if people get behind it. I have really enjoyed it so far...

iirc, the Final Five thing was mentioned back in season 2. the real change in the 'feel' of the show came after the writers strike.

i just learned to accept it all as just part of the story

yes, its coming out on disk. then early next year the movie will air on SyFy

They also don't get a whole lot for advertising. Which means they don't have a lot to spend on a show.
