It was a hell of a debate earlier this morning.  Most of you with whom I was responding made some valid points.  I, however, still believe that our workplace environments today would not be as safe and the wages would not be as good if it weren't for the development of unions.

I'll agree to disagree.

My political beliefs follow the Republican platform very closely with the exception of my stances on unionized labor and abortion.  Granted, I DON'T AGREE with abortion - I just feel its none of the government's business.

Other than those two issues, I'm a Republican and will always remain a Republican.

I appreciate everyone who joined the debate with me who were mature enough to keep personal attacks out of your responses.  As one of my fellow debaters stated, its one of the things that makes this site great - intelligent (and at times, heated) debate.

With that, I'll retire from this thread.
