At least the Danish army was reasonable about that. 
... although that thing was a bitch out in the field. It got all droopy and I'd like like some creepy porn start from the 70s or something.  Although the camo paste was pretty useful as a decent moustache was substitute.

An old shipmate of mine from WV. Actually kind of looked like Hitler....it was scary. Guy was funny as hell and had a twisted sense of humor. Well, as the patrol would drag along his hair would get a little longer and he would grow a stache. Every once in a while he would go into the head and shave it to a Hitler stache and wet his hair down and comb it all over to one side. Huge grins, wide eyes and OMGWTF stares abounded on the mess deck. Fucking hillarious.
He only had it on for about 5 minutes and would shave it off before he went to mast. LOL. I can't grow a stache. Didn't shave my upper lip for 3 months and while it was enough for my 3 year old nephew to not recognize me, it was pretty pathetic. I looked like a pedo
