Yep, found her and lost her due to my own stupidity and selfishness. It's been over two years and I still miss her as much as the day she left

Edit for spelling. She would have nailed me about spelling. She was a school teacher.

I'm sorry to hear that.
I can't imagine such a loss.

Unfortunatly, she just asked for a divorse a half hour ago, so reading this thread has been like getting kicked in the nuts.

That's my life...

The big problem now is that I really am clueless.  I've never been single as an adult.  We've been together since we were 16, and I'm 27...It's been an hour and I'm already lost

Still haven't found her. I was talking to one girl for a while but things just never 'clicked'. I'm talking to a beautiful Israeli girl right now. She's here on a work visa and the company put a lot of restrictions on them, so I can't even take her out to dinner or bring her to Synagogue on Friday or Saturday. She heads back to Israel in January, and I'm hoping to head over in February for a couple weeks.

I was homeschooled for 1-12 grade, so I never had an girlfriends growing up and very little contact with girls my age. I'm 22 and I have almost zero experience. I just hope I don't screw things up with this Israeli girl.

I think I may have found her...again.. We dated a coupe of years ago and it fell apart because both of us were pretty immature. This time is different. She corrects me on spelling all the time, goes orgasmic over firearms, loves my hobbies, is an outdoorsy type, and also is an adrenaline junkie. We're both not perfect, but neither is anyone else. If SHTF, I also have a nurse that can bandage my wounds, lol.

So tell us:  Have you found a special girl/boy yet??
You seem like one of those gender nuetral people.
What's your gender anyway??

Yep.  Long story short, we've known each other for about 2 years, dated seriously for 10 months.  It's getting about time I put an engagement ring on her finger.

We're hoping to get married sometime at the end of med school, spring of '10.

met her in 1994––got drunk and proposed within 3 weeks (I fell into the pool right after)  She said "no".

I sobered up, and proposed again after we had been dating for about 4 months.  She agreed this time.

14 years later, we have a fairy tale life and a fantastic 9 y/o daughter.  We do everything together as a family, and I don't even want to imagine what it would be like without my gals.

My life is GOOD!

No, but I've met enough people who are with their apparent "soulmate" to believe maybe there is something to the concept after all. And the level of happiness they have with their mate has given me resolve to find Miss Right rather than Miss Good Enough, because damn. Having what they have has to be worth it. I would kill for a woman who made me that happy.

Wow, all this time I had you figured for a younger guy. I'm guessing you didn't have a pre-puberty arranged marriage to your wife though.

I'm a man. I'd say I've found my soulmate, she is a female version of me. I've always thought it was creepy cool because we think so alike and have the exact same personality and the same level of intelligence. We know what each other think without having to say anything.
