Spent the last full day with my son before he leaves for Parris Island on Monday. Went shooting with him and we grilled steaks.
Tomorrow we drop him off at 9am at the Recruiting Station, one last dinner with him tomorrow evening then on Monday after swearing in he's on the bus. |

I purchased an Ingram MAC 10/45 today.
Even took the 5 mags home and loaded one. Now for the long wait. |
|
Went to BJJ but only got to watch/help the instructors due to a nagging rib injury. I go to work tonight at 2300-1100 tomorrow.
Seeing as I'll be racking 1200 & 3000 amp metal clad breakers in and out all night I'm hoping that does not get exciting. |

Changed a wheel bearing hub assembly on my truck, and did pads and rotors on the rear. Also cleaned up the rusted up caliper mounting brackets on the front passenger side so the pads move freely. Did a caliper last weekend, so now my truck actually stops! Tomorrow is transmission cooler lines and transmission service. Fun fun.

What type of brass dryer have you got there next to your extreme 17 tumbler?

Did some electrical work around the house, only got shocked once
Bought a new dishwasher at Lowe's and installed it. Installed a bunch of book shelves after first running some 1x6's down the wall and into studs so that I could secure the bookshelves to them, and thus distribute the weight down the wall a bit. They're setup parallel to the floor joist on the second floor and it's a LOT of books... Played a game with a few of the kids before they went to bed. Helped Jenny install some decorations that she's been itching to get up since we moved into the new house. |
|
Waited 5 hours for power restoration and helped a friend wire a boat trailer.
|
|
Continued unpacking boxes from the move. We're about 50% complete. Only had to do one Home Depot run today.

Weed whacked Mom's yard for fire compliance, surfed arf, then went on a 14 mile mountain bike ride in the forest and ran the dogs at the same time. Stopped by the wife's work for a nooner and lunch. Then later we drove down to the beach to surf and camp and grill some meat with my second set of parents, who are the campground hosts. Drinking beer by a campfire now.

I moved 20 yards of dirt in 90 degree weather. That was fun. Now I'm on the lookout for naked people on bicycles.

Bowling alley for my girl's 7th birthday party. Shitbird FIL's door fell off his S-10 Blazer so I had to get a hammer from my truck to try to drive the pin back in. Had to use my pocket knife knife between the pin and the hammer as the hammer would not reach in there.
Screw it, it's a $20 Kershaw I got from Amazon. My 5 year old almost shit his pants on a roller coaster simulator game in the arcade |

Supposed to be 117 tomorrow with 55% humidity. Probably staying inside for that one. I figure my days a numbered with all the heat strokes i have had. My memory isnt for shit it seems, i forget peoples names Ive known for the last 17 years. Turning 37 sure makes me wonder. |

Did some hiking and backcountry driving in the Coronado NF near Ruby, AZ. Mostly looking for old mines. Found a bunch, only one didn't have a bat gate (Dos Amigos Mine) and I went about twenty feet in before realizing that a ton of debris had fallen off the back (ceiling) and it wasn't a very stable mine
Finding these things is somewhat addicting, but it's a lot more fun when you're not alone. I HATE being alone underground, no matter how neat the mine is, it's just nerve-wracking. Stumbled across a beautiful four-foot rattlesnake at the Oro Blanco Mine. Saw lots of USBP guys keeping the area locked down tight; I was only a couple miles from the border, and was quite heavily armed with a 1911, an AR with sixty rounds, and an M7 bayonet Arizona in late June: bring water. Bring twice as much water as you expect to need. You'll be glad you did. I sure was. |

Removed the stupid mother fucking bullet button from an AK and fitted a new mag catch. AK is now "featureless" under CA law. Fuck, this place is ridiculously fucktarded! High point of my day.
