Same thing in the Gunsite model. |

I like that. Special order? I carry either a MOD Hornet or a CRKT M16-13zm |

It's available at a number of places online, but I paid a premium at a gunstore to get one in my pocket right now. |

Mine is typically some relatively small traditional style knife — usually a whittler pattern, occassionally a congress style. Almost never do I carry anything tactical (though I own a couple).
For the past few weeks I've been carrying a celluloid handle whittler (three blades, big blade on one end, two small blades on the other, two back springs the big blade rides on both springs) that is marked Shapleigh's. Old school knife people know Shapleigh as a venerable old hardware line. This is no doubt a rip-off. It was one of James Parker's schemes in which he claimed to have found a bunch of NOS knives in Germany. While not genuine Shapleigh it's a nice enough knife, German made, carbon steel, small, handy and cheap. I think I paid about $25 on eBay. I own more than 100 knives but I generally rotate out just 3 or 4 for everyday carry. Sometimes it's a German Eye brand Congress with yellow plastic scales. Sometimes it's a Boker Tree Brand Classic whittler. If I need a heavier blade I might carry a Spyderco. I also have a really nice old Gerber lockback sheath knife (brass with rosewood inlays) that I carry camping. It's a somewhat collectable knife but it had already seen a lot of use before it became collectable so I still use it. But always, there's a knife in my pocket. Obviously, I don't carry these old school knives in anticipation of a knife fight. A knife is just a good basic tool that everyone should have on their person at all times. It always amazes me that even in the small relatively rural town where I live I seem to be the only person prepared when somebody has a package to open and asks, "anybody got a knife?" |

I carry either a Benchmade 812SBT-LH (mini-AFCK, left handed liner lock) or a SOG Flash I. I work in a hospital, so I have to keep is small for the sheeple.

The voyager series of knives are the toughest lockbacks around. They take a good edge, they don't retain it like high dollar knives, but for the average of $50 or so, they are probably the best deal around for a hard use knife. My VG is a super old model that did not come with a pocket clip, I had to put one on it myself. It is like 10 years or so old I think and has seen lots of hard use. It also doubles as a camp knife for doing kindling and cooking duties. I like their tanto folders myself, they are quite useful. Also, the looks you get when you clack one open are priceless. |

I am shocked by the lack of Kabar Blades.
I carry the Kabar TDI Law Enforcement Fixed Blade, Plain Edge. I am going to purchase a Kabar Short Tanto in the near future. |

I can't believe most of you only carry just one knife.
No-name made-in-China folder, recently sharpened, very nice. Recently sharpened Old Timer, massive tear-drop blade. Winchester multi-tool on belt. No-name Swiss army knife. Keychain folder with built-in LED light. Small skeleton-frame Gerber folder in my jacket. Genuine Swiss army knife with my knife engraved on it, sometimes on my belt. Cheetah (bleah, it only cost three bucks) semi-serrated folder clipped to my back pocket. And that's just what I carry on a regular basis. If I think I'm gonna need it, I also strap a Mossy Oak skinning knife (the ridiculously sharp and invulnerable one I posted about in SF; holy crap this thing's amazing) onto my belt. Just wait till I get my CCW. I've already got three compact guns picked out. |

Great minds think alike. Older model Spyderco Endura here. I have smooth blade, half serrated, and full serrated models. |
|
|
I wear a Camillus boot knife, however I do not wear it in my boot.
Why do so many people like folders? I prefer fixed blades. |

I usually carry 3-4 Spyderco civilian, spiderco endura, spyderco spot, and a spyderco temperence....I have coldsteel knives and a few CRKT but I love da spydercos

It's illegal to carry knives here without a specific reason (DEFINITLY NOT for self defence), and the cops have stop and search powers, so I carry a Leatherman Charge Ti. Much easier to justify.

Kershaw assisted opening half serrated and a Surefire E2D always with me.

Buck 110 folder. the warranty ROCKS! i find myself getting a new one at the beginning of every deer season

Doh! I have the same knife but w/ serrations. |

Sebenza- fantastic tool. Great service: I broke the blade working on the house... they replaced it for nothing.

it is indeed reassuring. I felt completely naked for a weekend when I visited my folks in TX (didn't want to check any luggage in, so couldn't bring anything, not even the E2D).
Mine's either a Strider SnG, or a Gerber WalMart special...... |

I carry a Benchmade blackened Stryker 910 60/40 blade and a Leatherman Wave.
