MX engines are hunks of junks.

Even the mx9 made by Cummins.

Junk.

Every new engine is a 500-600k then over haul.

I knew a guy that had 1.1 mil on a 3406E that had never been in framed. Can't get away with that on today's stuff, IME.

I have a truck, 379 Pete with a 6NZ cat in it.

I rebuilt the motor last year not because it went. But because it had 1.2 million on it.

Only thing done to it previously:

Turbo
Injectors
Injector cups.

My entire fleet is 07 or older right now except for 1 test truck. And I run over 100 trucks. 52 of them out of my Youngstown division alone.

A good oil, proper maintenance schedule and good drivers, with those engines they will go forever.

CAT power for life.

Yours looks nice.

Our fleet is primarily International trucks. I couldn't get rid of the 2011 Maxxforce tractor too soon, traded for a 2006 model 9200 with a Cummins ISX with 960,000 miles on it. It's a beast and runs better than everything else in the fleet. Pulls like a sumbitch too.

I'm so worried they're gonna get rid of it once she needs an in frame rebuild.

ETA, I'm local every day, downtown Atlanta, home each night, off Friday and Saturday. It's gravy, especially with three young kids at home. But I only do maybe 700 miles a week. So damn, good on you bro!!

It's not so bad, I learned to drive tractor trailer in DC, now THAT was a pain in the ass. But I can stuff a 48' trailer into any spot you want it now with maybe one or two pull-ups, tops. .

Automatic, tall gears, 65mph governer and a 6x2 (tag axle) drivetrain.  Also, today was 502/220 empty/loaded miles.

I can average 6+mpg loaded, but some days (like one last week) I was loaded heavy, pulling hills with a headwind and only averaged 4.1mpg for the day.
