I am going out on a limb - we are not seeing what they say we are seeing.

complaining monkey has eaten grapes before - his hole scene is because he acts out over food preference not over his peer getting preferential food.

Is it me or is this exercise completely off base? Neither monkey is free to ply his trade for grapes elsewhere so a comparison to humans is useless.

I'm going to laugh my ass off when fast food workers start bitching about being replaced with robots.

I'm also laughing right now because the study doesn't tell us so much about monkeys... as it does about people that aren't any brighter than monkeys in some subjects.

More interesting experiment, add 3rd monkey given cucumbers (or grapes) for no work and see how the others respond.
