Too bad they won't put any of this effort into reporting about Biden funneling $2M of his campaign money to family members and their businesses (or Pelosi doing the same shit)
 I could care less what JTP did or does, his question to Obama was still relevant and Obama's answer to that question was very revealing. We are not arguing that it isn't his fault... but the amount of personal attacks both by the Obama campaign and the media are ridiculous. If they spent a 1/4 of the time investigating Obama's past practices with well known extremists, this election wouldn't be as close as it is. |

I dont see any ad's on TV paid for by McCain supporters disparaging Tina Fey. I dont see the MSM going through Tina Fey's entire personal life trying to dig up dirt. Hell the liberal columnist who said Palin should be gang raped by black men barely got mention at all, and surely not by the likes of Olberman. But be a citizen of this nation, be in your front yard when a democrat candidate walks by, ask him a question and your whole life gets put under the microscope and drug through the mud. That is what is at issue here. If you cannot see the plain disparity in this then you're blind to what is in front of you. |

If "Joe the plumber" had ambushed McCain, everyone here would be gleefully cheering all of this stuff coming down on him.
When you owe the government money and aren't in good standing with all of your licenses and such, it isn't a terribly bright idea to be the nail that stands out. None of this, from what I can see, is being "created" out of political motivation... he just drew attention to himself, and is now reaping the wages of that attention. |

But if he didnt ask the question none of this would have come up. He'd still be doing what he was doing 2 weeks ago. He seemed to be working his job just fine until he asked a question, and the pro-democrat union got all up in arms. Its a sad time in our country when asking a political candidate a question results in what this guy has gone through. |

Joe just asked a question which happened to be caught on camera and happened to have Obama reveal his true views on economics. He never really asked to be put out their in the spot light. The article is kind of biased. His name is Samuel JOSEPH (That's where the "Joe" comes from) Wurzelbacher, he DOESN'T NEED A PLUMBING LICENSE to work as a plumber, he WANTS to make more money and is worried about Obama's tax increase, and running a red light is HARDLY a big crime.
And the big deal is OBAMA, not this guy. SPREAD THE FRIGGIN' WEALTH! Also, he has a driver's license. He just doesn't have his old Arizona license, which isn't where he lives anymore anyway so it doesn't matter! WTF? |

I disagree. American mainstream media is struggling to fill their 24-hour news channels with any content they can grab together. These are the folks who report on Britney Spears' bold head and Madonna's divorce like they matter. They're covering this chap because he kept being mentioned in the last debate and that thrust him into the limelight. It is their job. They do this every day and have done for years. Now because the subject is from the political realm instead of popular music, somehow they are doing it because the Obama people are forcing them to? I doubt it. They'll report on anything even vaguely topical - and Joe the Plumber is topical. For about a week or so. |

Did the liberal media ever track down G W Bush's drug dealer, from his days of snorting coke? I was under the impression there were things called 'student loans' and 'scholarships' which allowed people with less money than the Bushes to pay for ivy league educations. I suspect, rightly, that if Obama had any unpaid taxes or traffic fines, or if he had practiced law without a license, we would have found out just as quickly as we have about "Joe" and his own transgressions of the law. The fact that more dirt than "Rev." Wright and Bill Ayers hasn't been dug up on Obama is probably indicative that there isn't any dirt to dig up, rather than that the republicans and democrats and media are all united in some grand idiotic conspiracy to 'get him elected.' |

I think this is the best statement I've read in a while. As for the tax issue, isn't it past due STATE taxes?? I thought it was. State income tax is stupid. Also, it kind of is the point to the whole thing in that the man is taxed to the point of still owing in. Taxes are too high. Granted, he still has to pay it. As for the traffic fines, WHO GIVES A RAT'S ASS! No ins. tickets are rediculously high, and the reason for it being so much is probably due the the added fines for having not been paid. Also, if he produces evidence that he did pay it, or take care of it, it's not like we will ever hear about it. Maybe we should see if he owes any outstanding debt. Or investigate his neighbors who might be part of a grand conspiracy. Hell, WE'RE a bunch of Obama dissenters, maybe we should all be checked out.

I want you to think about the "issues" that Samuel Joseph has, and think about the average problems that average people have, and ask yourself honestly if he has any more problems than the average person has. Be honest. Now that you've examined your biases, here's my response: It's not Joe's fault for not having a plumber's license He does not need one. He is a plumber, he makes money working as a plumber. Why does he need a license? My dad didn't have a license when he did small to medium-sized construction jobs around the town and made tens of thousands of dollars a year while looking for a new computer job (which he has now). not paying his taxes That happens. Maybe he couldn't afford them? Maybe that's why he's sensitive to the idea of taxes being raised. He WANTS to make more, and that's the issue. He doesn't like the idea of being punished for working hard and making more money. running a red light and not having car insurance I ran a stop sign TWICE before. I just didn't see it. I was aware of the traffic, though, and I was perfectly safe. I even ran a red light once. It was only red for a second or two before I passed it, but the traffic was clear, it was a lone country road, and I didn't feel like stopping. As for insurance, I don't know the details. It could be that he just didn't have his card. That happened to me once. I accidentally packed an old card. getting his license suspended The way I understood this issue, he moved, assuming that his Arizona license was gone, but it had not been officially closed. He got a valid Ohio license, not knowing that his Arizona license was still valid. Now that he's famous, people looked into his personal life and realized that his license should have been closed. Record-keeping error. Finally, the issue is OBAMA'S ANSWER! SPREAD THE FRIGGIN' WEALTH! ARRRRGH! |
