Uh, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it illegal under the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform Act, for either candidate to even talk to 527's no matter which candidate they are supporting?
 Bush can't talk to the Swift Vets or MoveOn.org and same goes for Kerry from the way I understand it. |

Not a lawyer. The law says coordination. I'm not sure what it says concerning candidates speaking to 527 members. As the one member can not decide the policy of the organization it would be hard to argue that Kerry was coordinating. But I'm not a campaign lawyer. I'm sure if there is a legal prohibition the Republicans and/or the SBVFT will point it out.
