Found a Deal on a Ruger LCR chambered in 327 Magnum. I've been wanting one of these for a long time and they have been out of stock everywhere and selling for $700+

Anyways, Some of the ONLY ammo i've seen on the shelf at my LGS is 327 fed mag. SD/HP.

This got me thinking about the caliber more and the fact a snub nose carries 6 rounds of it.

Anyone have any experience with 327 magnum?

Yep.

Other than being sometimes available in small frames, it is very similar in performance to .357 magnum.

Somebody will also point out that it also will allow you to fire the shorter .32 rimmed cartridges. Which is true. Not sure I see the point in that though, as its not like anybody just happens to have a case of .32 Long sitting around waiting for a gun to show up.

I've been able to find ammo for it. Just no gun.

Seems advantageous to be able to fire almost 4 different unique calibers which could potentially still be available during this wonderful ammo climate

Although $700 for a LCR is making my heart skip but they are selling pretty high lately

No, but I have a relatively rare 3" Model 632 in .32 Magnum. Neat little pistol. I contacted a well-known gunsmith about maybe rechambering to .327, but he said it couldn't be done.

Would have been fun to have the ability to shoot a larger variety of .32 caliber rounds.

I love mine.

I reload 32 S&W, 32 HR Mag, and 327 Fed Mag.

It allows for a great range of loads.

I'm still learning about my .327 Fed mag, and I'd love to learn from your experiences with it.

32 S&W practically feels like shooting a 22, which would make for a good training gun for new shooters.

I wish somebody would do a magnum version of 25 ACP similar to 327, but  for semi autos.

I have a weird hankerin' to get a classic 410 or 20ga single shot (ie, Savage 220 - the single shot, not the current production bolt action) into a plinker in this caliber via a 18" barrel liner and some epoxy.  Figuring out how to get the bore really centered and putting iron sights on it has me holding off, especially since I was just given a reloading press and a local gun-n-pawn (vs. pawn that does guns) has a single shot 30-30 ....

That would be a riot in a T/C Encore, I'm sure EABCO could built you one.  It looks like there are some 327 barrels for Contenders off the shelf.

I have a Taurus and a Ruger. I have a few boxes of SD ammo for them and between .32 H&R Mag and .32 S&W Ling I have thousands of rounds for them. When those run low I can always load up more of either of the calibers.

Holds more rounds than .357 and hits hard. What is not to like? The Taurus was moms gun I inherited when she passed. I keep it loaded and stashed on top of the safe just in case.

Yeah, I was pondering a Contender too.  I've just been given a reloading press and a promise of "enough" primers and powder at non-panic prices from a friend so I can keep on plinkin'....

Then I saw a Savage 12fv at BassPro for $450 OTD.... :)  So again, the idea of the 327 plinker goes to the back shelf....

I think it'd be really interesting with some 50gr Lehigh bullets.

I’ve been thinking about a .327 contender barrel to go with my 3” SP101.  Not sure what it would be good for, though.  Seems a bit light for deer.

I don't have a .327 but I have an air weight in .32 H&R magnum. .327 wasn't out yet when I bought it.

I load and shoot .32 mag and .32 long. It's a nice carry revolver and i shoot it quite well. Less felt recoil too

I bought most of mine just to shoot the mild nice and awesome 32longs.
No new 32 long revolvers?
Well no problem I'll just buy 327 magnums.
I really want Ruger to make a 3" lcr in 327 like the 38 they do.
