Selling my 9' lathe. I am in eastern ND, anyone local can come and inspect the machine. I can palletize the machine for shipping. Details are below.
1941 South Bend Model B with a 42” Bed
16 speed, V belt drive, 2 speed countershaft, South Bend high-speed drive option
Powered cross and longitudinal feeds
Complete extended range change gear set (very rare)
Micrometer carriage stop
¾ HP 110 V motor
Includes a Patt 4 Jaw, Face Plate, live center, dead center, drill chuck, 4-way tool post, carbide tooling and boring bars. Work bench is included as well. The tool boxes in the picture ARE NOT INCLUDED.
This lathe was completely refurbished. Not painted and called refurbished, but actually taken apart and rebuilt from the ground up. The bed was re-cut on a planner, new carriage casting was re-fit, and the entire machine was rebuilt and aligned from the ground up. All the feed screws re-rebuilt, carriage gear train, everything was gone through. I did this about 15 years This is one of the nicest 9” South Bends you will find anywhere. Anyone local is welcome to come and evaluate the machine under power in person.
I am willing to palletize the lathe for shipment, however the workbench would not be feasible to ship.
