This small collection was purchased from the family of LT Colonel William Eugene Antley. All of the items are as found with only some of the metal items receiving a wipe down with some light oil. The KaBar, P38 (with holsters), 9mm ammunition, flares, and .410 rounds were all located in the bottom of the included flight bag where they had all been for quite a while.
This lot is an incredibly rare gathering from a single Marine Corps aviation officer who served during not only WW2 but also Korea and Vietnam. The officer, Willian Eugene Antley, retired as a LT Colonel after initially commissioning in 1942. He served with the 4th Marine Division in the battles of Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima. His Korean service included command of a service unit in support of a Marie air wing for which he was awarded the bronze star. During Vietnam Antley saw service early in the conflict as an in country advisor. His later service included holding a number of prestigious positions within the Marine Corps, including as the Chief of Staff at Quantico, VA. Information on his career is included below:

-2 G-1 Flight Jackets (both named to Antley):
Each jacket is in fantastic condition and is named to Antley from different points in his career. The earlier of the two has unique embroidery on the back showing the American Flag, NATO Flag, and South Korean Flag. The second jacket bears a bullion embroidered patch on the front breast with Antley’s name and rank along with the Marine Corps emblem.
- AFH-1 Flight Helmet:
This helmet is in great condition but does show wear. It bears O-4 rank emblems with all parts and visors intact. The helmet includes a very nice OD green flyers helmet bag.
-Sword Case:
Named and in excellent condition.
- Silver Award Bowl
This is a very interesting award bowl as manufactured by Oneida Silversmiths from their Paul Revere line. The inscription on the bowl reads “2nd Battalion, 6th Marines, United States Marine Corps, Seaway Premier, June 1959, From the Citizens of Ashtabula, Ohio. Excellent Condition.
- Coffee Mug:
Dated 1967 and inscribed for the Quantico, VA 8th annual inter service rifle championship matches. Excellent condition
- Parachute section:
This is a nice representative example of a US 1950s-1960s cargo parachute. The lines have all been trimmed and there is a tear. Displays very well.
- 1943 US Navy Binoculars:
This is a nice used set of US Navy Mark 33 Mod 1 binoculars. The body shows some wear from use but the optics are nice and focus well. The case shows similar wear but is perfectly serviceable.
- Survival Pen Flare Launcher W/ flares, carrier, and lanyard
This is a mint pen flare launcher complete with 7 unfired flares in the carrying case, and lanyard. Excellent condition.
- M35 Survival Shotgun Rounds (15)
These are .410 aluminum shotgun shells made for the US M6 survival shotgun / rifle combo as made by Winchester. The shells are all marked WCC 52 on the base and are unfired. They are all included with an unmarked OD green carrying case.
- Late WW2 Production CYQ P38 Pistol
This is a very nice example of a late war P38 as made by Spreewerke. It is all matching with a very nice bore. It exhibits some light wear as shown in the linked photos.
- P38 Shoulder Holster (G.J. Ensink & Co):
This is a very finely made P38 shoulder holster complete with all of the straps. These holsters are scarce and are commonly referenced as the only true WW2 production shoulder holsters made for the P38. Condition is excellent.
- Post War P38 Flap Holster:
This is a nice post war German flap holster made to be supplied with either the P38 or the P08. Condition is nice but it does show some use.
- 50 Round Box Western Cartridge Co 9mm Ammunition, 1943:
This is a very good condition complete 50 round box of 9mm ammunition. It was located in the bottom of the above flight bag along with the P38.
- USMC KaBar Knife With Sheath:
This is a nice example of a USMC marked and issued KaBar. It shows some use as shown but is very nice.
- USMC Barracks Cap:
Excellent condition.
- Sword Hanger:
Excellent condition with supple leather and nice fittings.
