The above member contacted me upon receipt of the two items (Eotech and light) stating that he had an issue with the Eotech (a cant in the reticle of a few degrees). We exchanged a few emails back and forth, and I asked if he’d like to return it for a refund. I never heard back from him. I then noticed that the Eotech was listed as for sale on the EE for substantially more than he had paid (free market, he can ask whatever he’d like, but it’s important to my point). It is also important to note that the member made absolutely no mention of the issue in his for sale post. I contacted the member again to let him know that although I had never heard back from him, we should consider the deal closed since he’s already listed it for sale. The Eotech sat on the market for about a day with the price lowered throughout the day, and after no interest was shown, he contacted me to ask for a return. From where I am sitting, it sure looks like the member used my offer to return it for a refund as a hedge against selling it for a profit. He claims to have not been able to see my email, but obviously saw that there was no interest on his ad to lower the price? I offered for him to return both items for a full refund and he stated that he wanted to keep the light and return the Eotech. I emailed stating that it was time for us to contact a moderator (and have not heard from him since 2/18).
I contacted tenewal (2/18) via email and he issued the same opinion as 556. My offer of returning everything or nothing should stand.
I have not heard from the buyer since 2/18. Woke up this morning with an invitation to join a negative feedback thread.
As to the last assertion, yes I was frustrated and aggravated. I believe most normal people would be in this circumstance. As to the “name-calling” claim, I’d invite you to re-read through all of our emails. I never once did that, and am happy to post transcripts to support that.
Again, if you would like to return both items for a refund, I will accept that.
