I am a former FFL/SOT and have been out of business for some years. This rifle came from an estate. It's a Springfield, manufactured by Stevens, model 52-A single shot .22 short/long/long rifle. These were only made between 1933-1937 and were never given serial numbers. They are still legal today as no-serial-number guns. The rifle is well-used but still functional; I shot a rabbit with it once at least 10-12 years ago, so it worked back then. It's been in the safe ever since.
I'll let the photos do most of the rest of the talking. Just click on the image to enlarge. FYI, I strongly suspect the stock has been sanded and refinished given the butt plate overhang.
Legal and other: These days I am a C&R and will ship to your C&R or FFL. WI people, we can do cash and carry. (I am in SE WI.) The price is $125 all-in/shipped with adult sig required. Insurance is recommended but is additional and at your option. I'll be making a short road trip to see my girlfriend and family in Grand Rapids MI and Detroit MI around Memorial Day weekend. If you or your FFL is in southeastern WI, northeastern IL, northern IN, western MI, or eastern MI, I may be able to drop it off in person. In-person requires cash and an ID to prove your C&R is actually you.
