LUNA OPTICS is proud to introduce the new laser IR illuminator! The model LN-ELIR is now built from new thermoplastic materials, which are lighter and stronger than aluminum versions. The unit employs new control switch system allowing smooth brightness adjustment and features innovations such as dual-step control to prevent the laser from being accidentally turned on, protective cover and a light indicator allowing the user to see when the laser is working.

The illuminator is compatible with any Gen-1, Gen-2(2+) and Gen-3 night vision unit and provides an adjustable uniform beam of infrared light, useful for situations where the amount of ambient light is not sufficient to see clearly.

Three versions are available: LN-ELIR1 with the slide mounting bracket for attachment to Luna Optics binoculars and goggles, LN-ELIR2 with the screw mounting bracket for Luna Optics riflescopes and tactical monoculars and the universal LN-ELIR3 version featuring Picatinny mounting bracket for direct attachment to the rail.

We tested one of these units and were absolutely blown away by the performance!  I'm loving this LUNA running it in conjunction with a 9007 Steiner DBAL-I2 IR/IR unit. See pics.



BE SURE to add the PRESSURE SWITCH if you want one as they do not come with the unit. Use the drop down menu to add a pressure switch.



IMPORTANT- as with ANY IR laser, IR illuminator or laser emitting devices DO NOT LOOK INTO OR POINT this device at other people as eye damage is likely to occur. Use common sense, keep out of the reach of children,  switch unit off when not using, cover output and remove batteries.

Are these capable of going full-power?  What does this do that the illuminator on a D3 doesn't?

More Lunas arriving Feb 3rd. Most of these are already pre sold but we should have a handful that aren't. Get your order in now for this excellent illuminator to avoid a 4 week lead time.

These things are ok as is and pretty bad ass once you do a little mod that takes a few seconds. If you can make a stand alone illuminator work for your system these are a good deal.

Received our last (?) shipment in late yesterday (5/3/22) and all pending orders have now been charged and are shipping out today.

We have less than a dozen Luna ELIR3 units left over and a small number of SF adapters and pressure switches.

With the war, we are not sure when we will see more of these.

For those monitoring this thread for updates on availability-

We just received what we are told will be the last shipment out of Russia of these. They will in the future be made in Germany. As such they will COST MORE being made in Germany. Sounds like in the range of $100-150. more when they are made in Germany.

So we are holding to the old price until the last of the Russian made units are sold out. If you want to save some bucks on a Luna ELIR3 long range IR illuminator, I would get your order in soon.

5/6- down to a handful of Lunas left in stock of the last batch.

Have not yet heard when the more expensive ones being made in Germany will start being available, may be a few months when none are available.

Have no idea whatsoever if/when we will see more of these. Was told they would start being manufactured in Germany late this year, but they will cost significantly more when that happens.
